"Popular old fashioned Italian Cafe serving great coffee, cakes and Breakfasts. A must stop place when travelling from Edinburgh to Lancashire. Service great and quick even when busy so they are clearly experienced. Marble tables, checkered tiled floor, everything clean, food mostly homemade and nothing tacky or flash. Ariete means Ram, Moffat’s traditional symbol."

"Lovely decor and food looked amazing and very reasonably priced (sadly we were only stopping in for a quick drink. Tea was OK, kids drinks a little expensive. One thing to call out that wasn't obvious when we went in is that it's cash only. In the post covid world, I honestly feel that this needs to be a bit clearer than sign on the till. Not an issue if you know about it, but one set of passing visitors were caught out when we were there."
