"I love the hotel, I stayed here a few times and it's just nice. the lounge that we had the afternoon is not an exception, it really feels special. the one thing that leaves it down is the temperature, it was glacial! the entire hotel was cold and it is only pampered the experience when they sit for their afternoon tee and to jack and keep up skewed. the choice of eating is nice, I was with my gran who is fussy and they were happy to make sandwiches just for them what was nice. we had to ask for refills of tee and had to wait one for the staff to come and release the table again to ask for the bill, there were only 2 tables occupied, so that I should have been the feeling that the staff should have been more attentive, but most of the time spent in a huddle and don't really talk attentive to their tables."

Rather too loud if you're looking for somewhere to chat about some business or work but the seats overlooking the station concourse provide ample

We were looking for somewhere to go for afternoon tea as Bex M is moving to Brighton (*sobs*), and I thought Champagne Central would be worth a try. View menu

I met up with an old family friend last week for afternoon tea and decided to set up camp in the wonderfully glamorous Champagne Bar in Grand Central Hotel.

Afternoon tea at Champagne Central was excellent!! Beautiful surroundings, gracious service, and a great traditional afternoon tea capped of a great day in Glasgow. Couldn’t have been better.

Staff were very pleasant and seated us although we arrived early, as we were dependent upon public transport. On the whole, the afternoon tea was nice although the sandwiches could have done with more filling. As they were, you could not taste the fillings. The room was very cold which detracted from the ambience and we just wanted to have our food and go. View menu

Afternoon Tea overpriced for what you got and felt the tableware could've been nicer very ordinary delph and cutlery for an afternoon Tea, considering other venues seem to understand that AT calls for fine china, heavy silverware, linen table cloth etc. Whole effect/impact bit disappointing and overpriced. Staff lovely tho and very attentive. Would recommend venue overall but maybe not for AT.

slightly disappointed by the choice of food. sandwiches were ok, then two scone and two very soft and gooey cakes. no very good choice of cakes. no comparison with other afternoons I had. that was it. birthday treatment for my friend and since the card machines didn't work, my friend had to pay embarrassing cash and I had to refund her. I was there with friends in December and we had the tapas that was beautiful.
