"The dishes may be very good, the waitresses seem very friendly... unfortunately the boss's wife is present at the reception and... she has control over the waitresses... and she probably ruins everything... rubbish. In 1 minute of being in her establishment, she managed to put me off her restaurant. Well done . Fortunately, there are many other very good restaurants in Riquewihr without having to pay 100 euros per person at the Brendelstub gastro restaurant, but at least in the latter... there is no boss's wife. Nearby activities: I recommend the modern bistro and the restaurant “au dolder” as well as the crossbow and above all the grognard to end the evening."

Fantastic lodging, fantastic restaurant below. We stayed one night and ate lunch in the winstub and had breakfast the following morning. Tremendous service from start to finish, and excellent food. The lunch that I ate was one of the best meals that I had during an eight day trip through Alsace. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

I give 5 stars because I'm no one to lower the rating of a restaurant. Tarte flambée, ham, wine: very good On the other hand, the accompaniments are really not good. Boiled seasonal vegetables and a potato salad that is way too tangy to go with a honeyed ham. I don't know their meat supplier but a sirloin (good size) not really tender for €32 I find that a bit expensive. The decor really has a Gifi taste from the 2000s. Too bad for such a beautiful village.

Restaurant to avoid, incomplete menu for a Saturday in December at 12:30 p.m., burnt tarte flambée, the waitress told me that it was normal even though I really only had the taste of burnt food in my mouth. Fortunately it was still redone and was already better. The ham then served was cold and the sauce was the equivalent of a teaspoon, which was very dry and therefore difficult to swallow. The restaurant has 2 large rooms and there were only 6 of us in the restaurant one lunchtime in December when the street was crowded. And finally the bill is more than exaggerated for the quality of the meal. So we didn't make the right choice and we won't come back.

"L'Alchemille is a 1 star Michelin restaurant located in the Alsatian village of Kaysersberg. The menu here is a surprise, you just get to choose between 5, 7 or 9 course. The chef will gives what what he wants, what's fresh that time in his garden, and what he feels like cooking. I like the element of surprise so it wasn't an issue. Before you're asked if there are any ingredients you don't eat, or if you have any allergies,Service is good, not so much fluent in English but in a way or another you get to communicate. Wine list is good and includes wines for everyone's budget, somellier is more towards selling expensive wines, but he knows his job.Dinner kicked off with a bottle of Cremant,a nicely presented amouse bouche and fresh bread, It then followed with a variety of dishes which included potato mousse, beef tomato with basil snow. deer tartare, salmon, mustard zabaion, pigeon leg, munster and 2 desserts. The star of the night was the beef tomato with herbs and basil snow, followed by the pigeon with glazed peas, carrot puree and pigeon juice. To finish off we were given some petit fours, not bad but it can be improved. We later had a chat with chef Jerome Jaegle who surely has a passion for what he does, and no wonder he was awarded a Michelin star, his creativity on a daily basis is something few can do and maintain such a standard.Total came to around €130 including mid priced wine, 9 course is reasonably priced at €78.If you're in the area, it's a place you'd love to visit. I'll be back."
