"Our 20 yr old student son was visiting Ipswich as part of an upcoming placement. He had to stay in a hotel for two nights on his own and eat out for dinner as nothing available in the hotel. He went to ASK at around 6.30pm and asked for a table … he was told they ‘already had too many’ despite all the empty tables and him being on his own. Very offhand and rude and made him feel very uncomfortable. On phoning afterwards we were told they were short staffed and having a difficult day. Nice of them to take it out on a young man on his own. Shameful behaviour! The reality is he was one person, it was early doors, and all he wanted was a warm meal after a long day. He wouldn’t have been taking a table up all night and making demands on the staff. If you happen to find yourself in a similar situation save yourself the trouble and just go to Prezzo. Or just go to Prezzo in any event."

"We went to this restaurant for a Father's Day lunch with a party of 4 people. The food and service were both excellent. However, it was a very hot day and unfortunately the restaurant did not have air conditioning. We recommend that the restaurant invest in air conditioning to provide a more comfortable dining experience."

"had a surprise meal for our daughter 21 there with a party of 12 people. the service was brilliant and the food was absolutely delicious. very recommend the bbq ribs they were a meal on their own faust. will visit again there and want to taste their Sunday dinner. forget the restaurants in the high street that you beat them all."

"Little Heath Tea Room is a charming tea room located in Potten End, near Berkhamsted. The tea room is set in the grounds of Little Heath Farm Nursery, and it has a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The interior of the tea room is decorated beautifully in a traditional style, with china teacups and saucers, and lace doilies on the tables. There is a small selection of cakes and pastries on display, and the smell of fresh baked goods wafts through the air. It is BEAUTIFUL The service at Little Heath Tea Room is excellent. The staff are friendly and attentive, and they are happy to make recommendations. I ordered the afternoon tea, which included a selection of sandwiches, scones, and pastries. The sandwiches were all delicious, and the scones were perfectly cooked. I especially enjoyed the carrot cake. I would highly recommend Little Heath Tea Room to anyone looking for a charming and relaxing place to enjoy a cup of tea and a bite to eat. "Tucked away in a tiny hamlet on the edge of Ashridge Forest is this gorgeous pub. I have been coming here since I was a nipper and other than a gastro pub style lick of paint and the addition of super efficient staff, it has the same independent country style welcoming feel it always has. On a weekend it never fails to be busy you are likely to share a pint with families, dogs and hikers alike! There are just a few tables at the front of the pub (main restaurant dining at the back) make sure you come early and book a table. Great in the Winter cosy with open fires, but the outside patio/garden area is just as fantastic in the summer and a real suntrap to boot. The food is a great example of how gastro pub fair should be, they pay attention to serving seasonal fruit and veggies and use fresh local produce as much as they can, so naturally there are variations to the menu throughout the year. Wine list is extensive and I have been told they serve a decent pint too. So if you want tasty honest grub, excellent attentive service, relaxed atmosphere in a superb country location you would be hard pushed to find something better than this."

"Ate at Bill's with my daughters and it was great. They have a menu to suit all ages and tastes from child (my 19 year old ate from the children's menu) to old fogeys like me, and but also catering for meat eaters and vegans. Service was great, although staff seemed to be rushing around. Have eaten at other Bill's restaurants and food/service has been consistently good."

"I have visited this restaurant before and was unimpressed with he quality of the food. I year later, I decided to give it another chance. Very little has changed. My Pad Thai was gloopy, tasted like it had been reheated and not built up from fresh ingredients. Bland flavour and tasteless. All srvered up like warm on cold plates. I also ordered a roti, which was greasy, part cook, and equally undesirable. The chef needs changing as a matter or urgency before things will improve. You need a competent chef with cabaility and passion for his cooking. The restaurant was relatively empty, just a few tables being occupied, probably say's it all. Not all GS are the same. The one in Beaconsfield is outstanding. Please drive the extra distance you will be amazed."

"Visited this little cafe for brunch for the first time as we had moved to Berkhamsted recently. But it was packed with so many dogs in such a small place. Surely that’s not hygienic? We were seated by the front door sofas as they had no tables and so many customers were coming in and out with their dogs. One dog even licked my plate and I was disgusted. There is no way I would return to this cafe ever again. The staff were not rude but not friendly either. The breakfast was nothing special and very expensive. The coffee wasn’t great. So definitely nothing to go back for. Didn’t use the toilet facilities so can’t comment on that. Parking was easy as there are car parks nearby you can pay and park."

"As someone who’s worked in security the lady on the door is horrendous! Was waiting for a taxi home and asked if she alright… she was obnoxious and arrogant. She’s already been sacked from the white heart in Hemel old town for being rude. She’s clearly in the wrong line of work. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. Have reported to the pub personally. SIA have been informed."

"This is probably one of the best spots in the area for vegan and plant-based options. The vegan dishes are clearly labeled, and there are a variety of interesting choices—definitely more than just one or two items to meet a trend. The options are well thought out, and my partner, who isn't vegan, often chooses plant-based dishes as well. I highly recommend the Thai rice ball starter and the green Thai curry! The cocktails are also fantastic; there's a spicy margarita that’s confirmed vegan and packs a nice punch."

"The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. There was a minor mix-up where two puddings were added to our bill that we hadn’t ordered, but they quickly apologized and resolved it. The Sunday roast was delicious, with generous portions that were well-prepared. The Belgian waffle pudding was delightful, just like our friend’s dessert. All in all, we spent £136 for four roasts, four puddings, and six pints of ale, which is quite reasonable!"

"We dined as a group of eight on a Sunday to celebrate a birthday. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow and the food was just average. There was only one other party of three in the restaurant at the same time, so I’m puzzled as to why everything took so long. Additionally, the prices were quite high for the quality of the food and service we received. We won’t be coming back for a while."

"Great selection of toasties, soup, sandwiches, but the main reason for our visit was the vegan selection of treats pancakes, Belgium bun, Apple turnover, sausage roll, vegan cheese and pesto on sourdough and soup to name a few. Never seen a vegan Belgium bun before! I booked ahead, as i had a friend visiting who wasn’t local and vegan and i don’t eat egg. They were kind enough to save back a selection of vegan options in case they sold out and describing options even off menu. Really lovely place and staff who go out of their way to look after the customer"

"a unique art gallery and weeping. the Berkeley gallery has made itself an evening oasis for tasting and enjoyment of wine and art. with a prepaid card from the bar you can sample about 25 different weine in measures from 25 to 250 ml. without price for small tasting measures! or if they prefer, they order from the bar and are served as somewhere else. and they'll make them cheese and meatboards. oh, and I almost forgot. they can admire some beautiful art while enjoying their wine."

"The restaurant was empty. A girl with dark, short hair and fake eyelashes was loudly talking about her personal life while I waited to be served. Another girl, taller with a ponytail and lighter brown hair, was friendly but didn't immediately come to serve me while her colleague was chatting. I ordered a Lindor hot chocolate with all the toppings. It was lukewarm and not very tasty. They ended up throwing half of it away."
