"This is not a place to go if you value your time. If you don't and want a cheap meal out and yes, this is the place for you. Though I will weep for your tastebuds. We went to this restaurant about 90 minutes before our movie was to start. There were 4 booths empty and a whole set of tables empty as well, so I thought it wouldn't be long before we'd get a table. The Hostess gave us a buzzer and told us it would be a 15 minute wait and we can sit at the bar area for drinks and wait. I hate it when restaurants do this, shuffling patrons over to the bar area, where invariably the drinks are overpriced. That 15 minute wait turned into 28 minutes. When I went up to the Hostess and complained magically they were able to seat us. Our waitress was very prompt with our drinks order and food order. So kudos to her, whoever she is. My companion had a burger and chips two small onion rings. I ordered the spagetti bolognese (but with penne pasta instead). My companion's burger looks pretty good it had cheese and bacon and looked juicy. Mine looked like they used some store bought jar sauce, and it tasted like it. For the pleasure of rather unappetizing pasta I paid the glorious amount of £8.95. I value it at £2. as the pasta wasn't fresh and neither was the sauce. Don't come here if you value your time. There are better ways to spend your time."

Had a mocktail, fish and salad and shake. Food was great and tasty, service excellent. Absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Frankie Benny's is arguably the worst dining experience I've ever had. I was served overcooked pasta that was mushy, frozen vegetables that were still icy, and the service was appalling. I will never return. Zero stars.

It's a ok restaurant. Food average. Did not like potatoe skins dry and black inner potatoe due to bruising of potatoes. Husbands steak nice though and cooked to perfection. My salmon pasta nice and hot but could of done with a bit more salmon and less pasta. Learn Italian whilst going toilet as tape recording of how to say certain words phrases in Italian. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Decor quite modern and unique very American nice.

This is a nice small restaurant next to the cinema. It is nice to go to before or after seeing a film. I was waiting a while for my table because it was busy when I went. The food and drinks menu were good and they had some really nice cocktails. I wasn't waiting too long for my food after I ordered it. I had a main course and a dessert and enjoyed them both. The main course was cooked right for me. The prices were okay. The staff I spoke to were friendly. It is good because there is a big car park outside that is shared with everyone else at leisure world.

This place really is the worst. I'm absolutely shocked that its a massive world wide successful chain when the food tastes like rubber. The staff were all very friendly and I'm sure the chefs are talented but the ingredients are obviously totally useless I had the prawn cocktail (pretty yuck and the Cajun chicken citrus salad (I had to swarm it in balsamic vinegar to give it a taste. This chain should either seriously buck up its ideas by spending their, I'm sure, insane profits on some decent food to serve or shut down and give their retail space to a company that deserves it.

Frankie Benny's has got a fairly good rep with most my friends around the Uk and I've been in the Manchester one and it was great. So I thought I'll give Southampton a go, and thats where it started to go wrong..made to wait for a table when the restaurant was about a quarter full. Then starters were pitiful for the price, main courses were extremely well cooked. Then they give you a receipt giving you the oppurtunity to give them feedback online and they take it away again and throw it away. Sorely disappointed, poor value for money, staff not very professional. Will not be visiting again

Frankie and Benny's is a decent restaurant to go to if you want the standard fare of pizzas and pastas, with an American lean rather than a traditional Italian meal. The staff are often overwrought due to the small size of the restaurant and how busy it often is, so it can take some time before you're served, but the meal itself is usually reasonable. The decor of the restaurant is pretty standard to the chain lots of red and white, emphasis on the New York aspects of the area. The restaurant is generally well lit, bright and friendly if slightly too noisy during peak times. A nice place to go to after or before going to see a film, but not really appropriate for a special night out.

This charming American-Italian restaurant in the Leisure World area is a great spot for a meal before or after a movie, or prior to a night out. It's more affordable than TGI Fridays and just about as good. The food is tasty with a wide variety, although the service can be a bit slow at times if the staff is busy. I really enjoy the atmosphere, and you can also sip on cocktails here before heading out. The pizza I had during my last visit was enormous and delicious, and my partner's steak was exquisite. The chocolate orange profiteroles were a delightful treat as well. If you sign up for their mailing list, you'll receive promotions via email—currently (as of November 2008), you can get £5 o...

where to start. first my booking was not there, but the server said to the couple before me his 30 minutes waiting for eating and then, when I was seen, his 45 minutes waiting for eating. with my family in one stand failed. ordered the drinks that were 2 very beautiful milkshakes and a glass of wine. the food then finally ordered when it came 2 was nothing like the pictures and was made as it was specified in the menu. 7oz steak was small and lacked a few page bits. my so-called ultimate meatburger had lacked speck, wobbles missing and I asked about the spicy cheese and speck fries and it was only regular pommes. the music was sometimes very loud. 3 very loud announcements for 3 birthdays in...
