"When we arrived in Salerno for a one month visit we asked the locals to recommend good restaurants. Well, we tried numerous restaurants but then on a day when everyone else was closed, we found Gusto Sapori and we are so pleased that we did! Andrea is hands down the hardest working Server we've ever had the pleasure meeting and he speaks English. My husband and I have over the past two weeks tried several of their dishes and as soon as we think we've found a favorite dish we discover another! Last night we had a mixed seafood antipasto recommended by the chef and it was unbelievable! Their Alici Cetara is the best we've had. All their dishes are made using the freshest and best ingredients and they offer gluten free options. It will definitely be our Ristorante of choice until we leave Salerno to continue our travels."

Went here twice, once for dinner and once for lunch. Both times had a pleasant experience. The food is good, the seafood is fresh and the meat is tender and well seasoned. Unfortunately when I went for lunch it was warm in the restaurant. anyway it is a really nice restaurant with fair prices. View menu

Definitely order the mussels with the garlic, parsley and pomodoro...has a bit of a spiciness to the broth that will have you asking for more. The seafood(clams, mussels, razor clams) with spaghetti was superb...the one time I got more seafood than pasta....usually it's the other was around....not here. Not expensive...the meal was cooked to order. Truly a gem.

restaurant discovered by chance on foot through the city, family environment and large company of andrea that delighted us throughout the lunch. local specialties are cod, served in dozens of ways. We tried it in pumpkin flowers and gorgonzola cream bed. we licked the mustache and cleaned the dishes! great homemade bread. to conclude a parmigiana with the seafood.
