"After working in the kitchen previously as Senior member of the team at Kolamba in Soho/Vauxhall and also growing up around Sri Lankan food my partner myself were craving searching for Sri Lankan place to treat ourselves too as we haven’t had any for ages! We were expecting big things as don’t go out too often but was disappointed at our experience at Jaffna House after hearing high praise from friends family. Egg Hoppers were flat like they had been cooked in a crepe pan and tasted like old batter mix, Coconut Sambol which accompanied it was also not fresh tasted a bit strange. Also we ordered the Devilled Prawns but lack the dark colour we associate with a devilled dish, the dish was really pale/white colour almost anemic looking."

I stopped by for lunch and ordered the Thali Friday special with mutton curry. The food was nicely spiced, and the service was quick and efficient. I highly recommend it!

Loved the food so much, so satisfying! The devilled mutton was delightful and the nethhali fish puttu was the fave. Would also recommend the aubergine curry, very tasty and complex!

Amazing food and atmosphere. Authentic Sri Lankan food in a cosy, adorable setting. The Masala tea is delicious as for the bonda, vegetable rolls, Kutthu and Masala Dosa. Very veggie friendly with great gluten free and vegan options too. Can’t wait to return : View menu

Had a birthday party here for my girlfriend. The food, the ambience and staff were all top notch! Can't imagine a better time anywhere else. Everyone there was so helpful and made changes to the food even when they didn't have to. This place is a must for get togethers and the food is sublime always fresh and on time! Highly recommend it!

We had our lunch this afternoon and food was very authentic Tamil food Srilankan and South Indian. Our orders took bit of time but that's how our authentic fresh foods are. Their Fish curry மீன் குழம்பு was so authentic and delicious and it's a must try I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to try authentic Srilankan and South Indian food.

Such a lovely, delicious finding. The young lady taking my order was so nice , with such a welcoming smile and the young gentleman. The decor was beautiful and simple. The devilled squid perfect spice level and the fried string hoppers with egg, delicious and filling. Masala tea, needed a bit more intensity in flavouring, hence the 4 stars. Price excellent. Definitely would recommend. View menu

We had a fantastic dinner party with our friends at Jaffna House! The quality of the ingredients was excellent, and the flavors were simply amazing. I highly recommend trying their mutton rolls and the aubergine curry. One of our friends is vegetarian, and she was thrilled with the wide variety of dishes available to her! The waiter was also very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be returning!

I visited on a quiet Monday and tried the mutton thali, which included five condiments, rice, and mutton—a great value for lunch. The potato, cabbage, spinach, and chickpeas were all decent, as was the rice. The mutton curry was just okay, and the popadom was a bit soggy. The egg hoppers were average; they could have been crisper and had a more flavorful egg. It also took a while for the hoppers to arrive, so if you order them, be prepared for a longer dining experience. The sambal on the side was dry, so I had to request a curry to go with it. However, the rasam was quite good.
