"Good affordable cuisine. We tasted delicious burgers. On the other hand, we were surprised that when we arrived at 8:40 a Saturday night the kitchen stopped its service just before we arrived. So, plan to get there earlier in the evening. In addition, on this rugby World Cup day it would have been nice to be able to watch the game."

"It is 6 that we came to eat at the restaurant on the river side. The reception was pretty good and the card in its entirety looked interesting. But some small points didn't really convince us. First of all, it was a pity to note that at only 8:00 p.m. several entries, dishes and desserts were no longer available, leaving us only 2 choices for the dish. Two of my friends had ordered a “tomate and buratta” in the entrance and were surprised to have had three slices of industrial mozzarella delicately placed on the tomato instead of the buratta... and that without it being specified. At worst we inform the customer, at best we explain to him that one more dish is broken and it is directed to make another choice. The truffles were good, but again it wasn’t home-made. For the dish, the chicken and trout were correct and well cooked, the truffle purée and the green beans too, but it is not worth the 26 euros of the menu, especially if you count the mozzarella tomato. The kitchen is well executed, but too simple for a restaurant. The products are certainly fresh, but everything is not done at home, and it is a pity, especially if you take into account the family side of the establishment. We still welcome the owners’ desire to create their networks of local suppliers, but we should not expect a 100% perigordinary card either. With regard to the service, the change of recent owners is strongly felt. It is still lacking in organisation and the machine is not yet fully rode (the waiting time is a bit long, waitress who is surprised that we ask for glasses of water, lack of transparency to the customer, lack of knowledge on the menu... . In summary, we went out of this meal without really having the desire to come back and with the impression of having paid too much for what was proposed."

"Ate at the restaurant a month ago. The beauty of the setting of the restaurant cannot disguise the poor dining experience. The restaurant really needs to address the standard of service which was particularly poor, and the quality of food which did not meet our expectations for a Mitchelin rated restaurant. Poor service, mediocre food, don’t waste your money and don’t contact them to complain as they do not respond! With no menu offered to assist with choice we opted for the 7 course Grand menu surprise -7 services 145€ per head -what a let-down. It was the first time in a high end establishment that we couldn’t wait to leave. The food was very average, with what can only be described as unattractive gloop on several dishes. No care was taken with the food presentation. I had Waiters lean over me to pour a jus onto my plate rather than walk around me meaning their elbow was in my face when pouring. Several times the plates were just dropped in front of us on the table. When we had langoustine flambéed at the table the first ones were well-cooked by the time all had been flambéed. The food was neither stunning in presentation or taste. The cheese course was particularly poor with no choice of cheese being offered. The cheese was melted goats cheese served with a sort of puff pastry vol au vent, this was too heavy at this stage of the meal and goats cheese was not to everyone’s taste. The palate cleanser was a gin sorbet served with a tasteless “something” that had shreds in it -as there was no taste we had no idea what the shreds were but they were inedible. Do not dare to ask for a drink that isn’t on the menu -as an aperitif we asked if we could have a margarita cocktail to which the surly waiter folded his arms and simply said no without any apology. Simple things all added to a poor experience eg When dessert was served my son did not have a spoon, he asked for one the waiter was rude. The table was only wiped after a comment was made. During the meal the waitress forgot which menu we were having. Background music was played on a loop and after hearing the same song repeatedly played for at least 7 times it was distracting and rather annoying. When asked if there was an alternative playlist rather than playing the same song over and over, the music was turned off! We eat out regularly choosing Mitchelin rated and recommended restaurants, there are many Mitchelin recommended restaurants in our region that are worthy of being upgraded to 1 star whilst this establishment in our opinion does not deserve its rating and reflects badly on the Mitchelin guide."
