"Passing along Via Cavour, parallel to the main street of Noto, we were attracted by the small entrance decorated with aromatic plants and prickly pears. Intrigued, we went in to take a look and were immediately greeted by the smiling and hospitable staff, who advised us to look at the menu, which includes several typical Sicilian dishes. We decide to sit inside, where we find a fantastic location that recalls in a revisited way the welcoming homes of our grandmothers. From the off-menu we take as an appetizer the Artichoke with breadcrumbs and a land appetizer (aubergine meatball, fennel meatball, potato meatball, fried ricotta, caponata, cured meats, cheeses etc. , accompanied by excellent morsels of bread made on site. I take the linguine with tuna bottarga, asparagus, lemon; my partner takes the Tuna with Onion, both very good. All accompanied by an excellent Etna white wine, chosen from the extensive wine list. We conclude with two desserts: Grandma's chocolate pudding and Cous Cous with honey, dried fruit and ricotta cream. Excellent choice of Sicilian artisanal bitters and sweet wines. Polite and very knowledgeable staff, thanks to whom we spent a very pleasant evening. Highly recommended. We will be back soon."

"Once we arrived in Noto we booked at this place. As soon as we arrived the very kind staff welcomed us and accompanied us to the table. We ordered a starter of raw and a starter of cooked and raw on a fondue. Yummy!!! Moving on to the second courses: we took mackerel cooked at low temperatures. Very good! All accompanied by a good bottle of wine from a local winery, recommended by the waiter and spot on!! The price was surprising!! We thought we would pay a lot more! Furthermore there was pleasant piano bar music which allowed us to have fun and spend a nice evening!! We will gladly return. Well done Cucina Vicari and all the staff."

"Impeccable from all points of view! The telephone reservation was managed by polite and correct staff, also towards other customers, because they telephoned me 5 minutes before my agreed arrival to ensure that subsequent reservations were not delayed. The welcome was carried out from the moment you entered to the table by staff with impeccable and professional behaviour. Assistance with menu choices with the support of competent staff both on the composition of the dishes on the menu and on the wines available and to be paired. The service at the table, impeccable in times and manners even in the removal of dishes, yet you never felt like you were being observed or pressured, a sign that the discreet comings and goings of everyone served to control the various phases underway at the various tables. The quality and goodness of the dishes ordered exceeded all expectations for the variety of aromas and flavors, for the plating and for the delivery times to the table. The choice of wines is wide, the choice of wines by the glass is narrower, however always of an appreciable mid-range. Prices in line with the quality of the place."

However, I recommend going directly to the counter to choose the ingredients for the filling and not sticking to the menu (especially for vegetarians). "We chose the place based on the reviews, I can say that the location is a little dated but the food is of good quality. I took a mixed starter (portion for 1 person), 1 pasta with aubergine ragu, 1 carmine pasta, 1 roast slice (tender), 1 portion of chips, 1 sparkling water and a Coca Cola for a total of €55 good value for money... I recommend. Wheelchair accessibility: To access the room there is a flight of stairs of about 10 steps, inconvenient for the disabled"

"Restaurant is located out of the main street. Restaurant feels like family business. For 3 people we ordered 1 pizza Margarita, as a small snack on our tour around the city. Pizza was OK, just avarage Italian pizza not bad, but nothing special. But I was shocked, when I had to pay. I was ready to pay extra fee for the service as its usuall in the Italy. But for pizza that costs 5€ they charged us extra 6€. We did not get any extra plates, any jug with water, even the pizza was not cut. So where is the service? When I asked waitress, if is she serious, she did not hestitate and responded: ,, It’s for the service, you were 3.” Very rude. Her acting changed our impression about the restaurant. "A place not far from the main avenue, it offers very high quality food and decidedly generous portions at a more than reasonable price. The wine is also excellent. The fish starter was enough for 3 people. The former satisfied us to the point of giving up the latter. Those who go with children should take this into account because the portions are truly generous. Impeccable service. It is possible to eat outside even in the middle of winter. Clean and simple but pleasant place. I really recommend it with pleasure."

"The place is very pretty but we were the only customers there, so no atmosphere. Food wise, mixed feelings. The starter, anchovies on a toasted bread with whipped burrata, were delicious. As well as the wine, exceptional. But we were not as happy with our mains. I had a fish soup, for that I guess a long waiting time. There was plenty, too much of it, practically no broth, fish with all the bones remained. I couldn't eat it. I didn't like the taste either. My partner had something that was offered off the menu, fried squid. It came as a large portion of squid tempura, with a small side salad, it was OK, but looked too dry and would be more suited for a starter in our opinion."
