"As a teenager, well before the Eurostar existed, I much preferred travelling by train. The French family who used to host me every year were kind enough to help me travel from Norfolk to Chambery in Savoie that way. My own parents would put me on the boat train in London and Monsieur met me as I arrived in Paris. We then travelled to the French Alps by couchette – strange bunk beds with sliding wood partitions to provide privacy. In Paris, before our overnight trek, we used to stop at Le Train Bleu, a stunning brasserie in Gare de Lyon. I was more than a little impressionable – the decor, the food and the service were something I’d never experienced in the UK. we did eat out fairly regularly both in London and East Anglia, the height of sophistication for me at the time was dining at The Swan in Lavenham or being treated to a fondue at the Swiss Centre in Leicester Square. If anything like Le Train Bleu existed in the UK train station, I certainly didn’t go there."

This restaurant in London is fantastic. I thoroughly enjoy dining here and can't wait to return. A big thank you to the staff.

Fantastic restaurant located right in the heart of King's Cross. Had a great evening out with my friends. Great food and great service. Decor is nothing exceptional but it does have great views of the King's Cross station. Enjoyed the filet very much.

Our food solidly British, maybe British Commonwealth is a better description, was slightly on the salty side for my tastes, but still what I required on that evening… comfort food with a twist, familiar tastes done well! As you can see from the images below, our View menu

Plum Split Milk is located inside the Great Northern Hotel, conveniently situated in King's Cross St Pancras station. It serves as a hidden gem for food enthusiasts looking to escape the busy atmosphere of London while still enjoying delicious cuisine. The highlights of my dining experience were the location, food quality, and attentive service.

So you've heard about the big name chef, who made his name working under Ramsay, opening up in the refurbished grandeur of a once iconic King's Cross hotel. The yesteryear venue name, the appropriately quixotic decor, the confidently egalitarian food and the bar, well, at least a couple of steps up from the Weatherspoons you'd normally find in a location like this. You've heard about it? Which one, because now there's two of the buggers...

I must apologies now, my photos are absolutely awful. Normally I’d like to say my photography is riveting with excitement and makes your drool on cue at sight – which of course it does. Doesn’t it? Either way this time round I found myself at the oh-so sumptuous Plum Spilt Milk for Burns Night, fighting low light and a cloudy reflection off the drop-dead gorgeous light feature at the centre of the room. It really is lovely inside this place. The bar downstairs is fabulous too and the hidden drinking den upstairs next to the restaurant is cosy and intimate. I’m already feeling the need to come back here more often. View menu

we wanted to eat somewhere comfortably for king’s cross station. a fast restaurant search for locations with the open table app showed plum spilt milk as a hot one. it is located in the great northern hotel on the kings cross st pancras complex, was very rated by open table users and seemed likely the level of comfort and treatment we were looking for. everything about this restaurant was excellent. I'm holding back when it comes to giving 5 star ratings as there are in the rule some room for improvement, but I don't know how our experience could have been in any way better. the restaurant (and hotel) was elegant and comfortable, without being stuffy, service was excellent, and eating was st...

I visited plum and split milk from the back of this hot dinner offer I had. 50% outside the weekend brunch menu price was tempting and the eating and event saw the top class to boot. it ended a bit snobby in service, but eating for the greatest part is the amount pleasant. to have with bargain, I ordered three articles that desert Irish potato cake with speck and a £12,) deenslaw salat £11.50) and plume and milk. three friends were there for the savings. we were well satisfied with all due. from my choice, I enjoyed the most escape salad. the potato cakes were a bit more pedestrian I had better speck for cheaper) and the subscript dessert was delicious, but not stellar. it is a fantastic spa...
