"Classic Italian atmosphere subdued lighting, subtle decor, background hubbub of conversation. Decent menu and specials. Olives and bread starter was plenty for three while we waited for mains. Had the crab special, lamb and mint special, and mixed seafood pasta, and each one was superb plenty of flavour, nicely seasoned and not skimping on the protein. Good bottle of red. Waiting staff checked that we were happy with our meals thank you. Popped in Thursday, early evening, and no trouble getting a table, but we will probably book next time to make sure. Lovely meals and great service. We went in happy hour and would definitely recommend the potato skins but tbh the soup, pastas and pizzas were also really lovely. The standard of the food here is pretty poor. I ordered the Chicken Alla Crema and if I was a waitress, I 'd be embarrassed laying that plate down in front of paying customers. The 'crema ' sauce was something you 'd buy out of a packet mix and the miniscule amount of chicken resembled chewed up pieces of thigh rather than a whole breast. Will I be back?
