"I have been going to this pub restaurant for over twenty years. Yesterday I went with a friend having booked for 12 noon. Although the staff were inside and could see people at the front door it was just after noon before they let us in. Staff were fine and it was when we were seated that we were told there was a problem with the kitchen and a reduced menu. Anyway we both ordered burgers and shockingly mine arrived with a bite taken out of it. I didn’t want to make a scene as they had other customers but spoke to the staff and they replaced it. And no charge. No one could explain how it happened. They said they spoke to the chef and waiter How can something like this happen. Really upset and reluctant to return even after years of happy Sundays spent there."

Love the location, 2 birthdays in a row. Food didn't taste particularly exciting this time.... waitress was lovely and great service. Very nice coffee and will return next year....maybe xx

the employees were very friendly and efficient, but did not hurry at all. we felt very relaxed. we sat for a long time without feeling that they were afraid we were going. excellent place to meet friends.

Wonderful vibe back again. Really good to have table service again, friendly staff, good food, lots going on on the river, sunshine, what else could one ask for Look forward to our next visit . Terri and David

Nice setting, along side the river. Unfortunately the weather was too cool to sit outside. The friendly staff were very accommodating and reseated us inside. The restaurant is well decorated and is a step up from a standard pub.

I ordered a rump steak. But it was clearly a sirloin. The fat trim was round the back and was very thin. I’m from a family of butchers and know a cut of steak. It was missing the onion rings as well. I will be ringing the pub tomorrow to find out what happened. The waiting staff wasn’t to blame they was nothing but pleasant!

we have always been loyal customers of the albany, but were extremely disappointed about our visit yesterday 21 april service was not existent-long waiting for meal and eating, and when it was served it was not possible. had gone with friends who had proposed the restaurant - so very annoying. the situation is beautiful, but regrettably eating and the service do not fit.

Last time excellent couldn't have enjoyed it more. This time however, service poor, except for the waiter who was excellent. Drinks brought separately i.e. couple at a time, plates etc. not removed before main course arrived. Main courses ok except the Meditteranean Mezza Flatbread was basically a pizza with tomato and cucumber. Main course not cleared before deserts delivered. I will put it down to a long busy day and it won't stop us visiting The ALBANY Thames Ditton again. BUT I am watching! lol
