"So i was ordered to right this review by a young lady named Fran, and since it seemed like she may have had military training I'm inclined to follow the order!!! Came here about 5 years ago with a friend and it quickly became one of my favourite spots on my through travels. Since I've been brining friends and worm groups everything I'm in the area. Can't get enough of this place !! Friendly ....great food great service, feels like home away from home."

"My parents recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a dinner for 27 people at Hilltop. From our initial meeting with Daren a few months prior to the event, he showed a genuine interest in planning every detail of the evening. He truly went above and beyond to ensure that the occasion was everything we hoped it would be. On the night of the celebration, Daren was attentive to every aspect, and he and his team made the event a tremendous success. I must also note that the food was delightful, and the wine selection was outstanding. I rate this experience 5 stars."

"I ordered the "Garden Breakfast" which was not on the displayed menu, but was listed on the website menu. It came with 5 small potato rostis, 2 unripe tomatoes, a small portion of beans, 2 overly mushy mushrooms, and overly salty avocado on toast. All of this cost me £12! The service was good, however, and the staff were friendly. I may have been better off going to a different restaurant like Weathering or Pret!"

"I had the pleasure of dining in for dinner, and it was a fantastic experience! The food was exceptional, earning a solid 5 out of 5. The service was equally impressive, also deserving a perfect score of 5. The atmosphere was delightful, creating the perfect setting for a lovely evening, so once again, I give it a 5. Overall, for a price range of £20-30 per person, this restaurant exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Highly recommended!"
