"We weren’t offered the Christmas menu, we asked if there was another menu other than the main one and we were told there was not. It was only after we finished our meal we realised there was a Christmas menu that would have been better value. We eat at the forest a lot so it was a bit disappointing. The food we had was excellent as always is. May have just been an oversight."

The table was not ready at the reserved time. The drink service was extremely slow, the white wine was not chilled, and the food accompaniments were lukewarm. Overall, it was disappointing.

I had a great experience at this restaurant. The food was fantastic and the service was top-notch. The only downside was that we were told we had a 2-hour time limit for our party of 2 or more, but our table was taken away after just 1 hour and 30 minutes. It was a shame, but overall still a wonderful dining experience.
