"We have visited this restaurant several times and each time we have enjoyed delicious and faultless food. We have never had any issues getting a table, even without a reservation. The staff is helpful and efficient, but the real highlight is the food. Every dish we have tried has been beautifully presented, well-cooked, and absolutely delicious. The portion sizes are generous and come with complimentary dips and bread, so a starter may not be necessary. During our last visit, we ordered the mixed grill for two, which was so large it could have easily served three people. Despite not being able to finish it all, the food was amazing. I have also tried the beef fajitas, lamb shank, lamb ribs, chicken shish, and mixed shish, and have not been disappointed with anything. The Grind is one of our favorite restaurants in Doncaster."

I had a wonderful experience at the restaurant. The chicken Caesar salad was delicious and the chips were crispy and cooked in clean oil. My flat white was perfect and my daughter enjoyed her cheese dish, which was presented beautifully.

Had a shared mixed grill for lunch (lasted us all day) couldn’t finish it all but they boxed the rest up and we took it home. Really outstanding food! Lovely service and it looks beautiful inside since it’s all be done up. Definitely worth a...visit if you haven’t been View menu

Had lunch at Grind yesterday with friends, our first visit there. Food was lovely our waitress Hermoine was amazing, really looked after us made us feel welcome. Stayed for cocktails afterwards which were equally as good as the food. Didn’t cost...a fortune either. Will definitely visit again soon.

I can't praise the staff enough who were all so welcoming and each one went beyond the call of duty to look after us . I can't fault the food and everyone enjoyed their meal immensely.Amazing place, amazing cocktails and amazing prices.I would strongly recommend...this venue for any occasion or even just for a quiet meal and drink.

The food was awesome which is the most important thing but the service badly let it down! We had to ask for our drinks that had been forgotten, our food was delivered to another table, then we had someone else’s food to our table as...we were already eating, the bill was wrong as cocktail offer had not been added and then the deposit had not been taken off which seemed to have happened to others round us too! I hope this was just a bad night as I would want to go back for the food! View menu

We are a family of three, two adults and a one-month-old baby. We went to the restaurant for lunch and ordered a chicken wrap and a mixed grill. The staff was fantastic, incredibly welcoming and friendly, going above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. The recently renovated interior was beautifully done, with comfortable seats and a premium feel. The menu had a great selection and was very reasonably priced. The only downside was the lack of baby change facilities and the tough meat on the mixed grill.

We visited this restaurant on a busy Friday night and the staff gave us a very warm welcome fitting us in at very short notice. All of the staff we came into contact with were very attentive and pleasant they all appeared to be...happy doing their job). We ordered the sharing starter for two, it was lovely and freshly cooked. We both had a lamb kebab which again it was well cooked served with rice, salad, bread and dips. We enjoyed a bottle of red (malbec) with the meal. We do not drink cocktails but the ones that they were serving to other customers looked good. We give The Grind a star recommendation and will definitely e visiting again.

"The welcome we received was pleasant, although not very personal, and our details were not checked, which was surprising considering how difficult it was to secure a reservation. The restaurant is not licensed, so guests are welcome to bring their own drinks. My husband and I brought two bottles of champagne, but we were not offered an ice bucket and were given standard wine glasses instead of flutes. The food was served promptly, starting with an amuse bouche of butternut squash veloute with a creamy accompaniment served in egg boxes. The chef explained the dish himself, and it was delicious. The second course, an aged rice dish reminiscent of a soupy risotto flavored with parmesan and espresso, was my least favorite. I found it poorly presented and the coffee flavor didn't come through well. The third course, a beautifully cooked lamb cutlet finished on a barbecue outside, was accompanied by flavorful lentils. However, the broccoli that came with it was plain and could have used some additional flavor. The dish was not explained to us. The fourth dish, which I initially thought was eel, turned out to be smoked eel and was served with beetroot. This was one of my favorite dishes of the night. We were served two desserts: a warm chocolate foam with orange sorbet and a deconstructed rhubarb custard with pink meringue pieces, both of which were delicious. The bill was not presented to us, so we followed the lead of other guests who left cash on the table as they left. My husband had a nice chat with the chef, and I joined in after a visit to the restroom. The chef was very knowledgeable and skilled with flavors. Overall, I was a bit disappointed by the lack of personality in presenting and explaining each dish. The experience felt somewhat impersonal and lacked interest. I believe guest interaction is crucial, so my tip would be for the restaurant to take the time to engage with guests, even if it means spending less time in the kitchen. I did not give a perfect score due to the presentation and slightly underwhelming flavors in some dishes. I believe that in fine dining, every element of the dish should be bursting with flavor. Despite this, we had an enjoyable evening and would return if we are able to secure a reservation."
