"Spent my birthday night feasting with friends here. The waiters were very patient with us whilst we perused the menu and decided our drinks orders. Poppadom entrées were fresh and plenty of dips were offered. We all 5 had different starters and bahjis, samosas were...tasty but not greasy. My main course of chicken Maharaja was rich and succulent. My partner's jalfrazi was too hot for him but he was warned! We had a Rogni Naan, which was a new style for us. The staff kept us all well served and the drinks were ideal. (Kingfisher Each dish was of a high standard yet reasonably priced. A great meal for all 5 of us."

"We had never been before and were new to the area. We have three small dogs and wanted a quality meal. We booked blind and drove in heavy rain in the dark and found this charming country pub with a log burner keeping the whole place warm and creating a delightful atmosphere. We were greeted and given a nice table accommodating our dogs too.. we had a fabulous meal cooked well and home made .. it was delicious and booked a Sunday lunch on the the back of it. NYE we arrived and received great service and a fantastic Sunday roast , Pork and beef, both meals were outstanding and very satisfied with our voice and their ability to deliver top quality pub food .. well done everyone! "Some of the dishes were truly delicious, and the service was outstanding. The only unusual part was that the korma and bhuna dishes were a bit too spicy for my taste, and the onion bhaji resembled a pakora more than a traditional bhaji. Nonetheless, it was still a fantastic meal. If you're vegetarian, I'd recommend skipping the buffet option, as there isn't much available for veggies. Instead, opt for the menu, which offers a wider selection. Overall, I had a pretty good experience and would definitely return. Service: Dine in."

"Whenever I am out and about for business trips especially in Newport, Bayleaf is my first choice. Friendly staff and serve freshly made mouth watering dishes. My favorite is the Lamb Tikka Jalfrezi and I just love how they prepare it. They take a little longer to prepare but I don't mind because I know good food takes time. I would highly recommend this place if you want to try authentic curry dishes."

"We had an amazing experience at this restaurant today for a baby shower. The staff was incredibly helpful, making everything run smoothly. I was able to arrange the tables exactly how I wanted, and Manager Dave was particularly supportive—he even helped carry my bags from the car and checked in on us frequently. The table service was excellent, so we didn’t have to keep going to the bar every couple of minutes. The food was lavish and delicious. Thank you all for a wonderful day!"
