"This is hands down the best carvery in Warwickshire. You really can't go wrong with the food here; everything is absolutely delicious. While the prices might seem a bit steep for "just a carvery," it actually includes three courses (we ended up taking our starters to go because we knew we wouldn’t be able to finish all three courses at once). If you don't move your plate away from the meats section, they'll keep serving you more. The selection of meats is excellent and flavorful, the vegetables are abundant and tasty, and the staff are incredibly friendly. I highly recommend the devil’s food cake, and I can wholeheartedly endorse the huntsman as well."

Great food. Shame the takeaway service is poor.why have a system that clearly doesn’t work. A response would be good or an answered phone call rather than letting people wait a whole day. And then tell them there are no slots Service: 1 View menu

There weren't many reviews for this restaurant, and I typically don't write them myself, but I feel compelled to share my experience here. I wouldn't usually choose a carvery, but this one was conveniently located near our hotel during a business trip. I brought along a colleague and three clients who are more accustomed to dining out than to carveries. We all agreed that the quality of the meat was outstanding. The only issue we encountered was that the owner served us more than we had requested. View menu

Not great. Done it. Once is enough. meat was mostly ok, but my son had 50% fat on his 3 large slices of beef. He got lower half of joint which was poor. So most of his was waste. Lager was flat. Table all sticky, like fresh varnish feel. Seating not comfortable. Pork offering wasn't there so no idea why Sunday was extra money as only 3 offerings same as Saturday. Meant to be 4. Except gammon instead of pork. You get lots of food but I guess hit, miss on quality. Some like fat. We certainly don't. Pudding nice. Stater OK.

"Visited this place for the first time last night and have to say the service was really really poor from the second we walked through the door. Our table was booked for 7.45pm we didn’t get seated till 8.20pm and when the young girl seated us there was no apologies for waiting and she came across very blunt..the soup starter was lovely but the bread was a let down it was like cake and the bread with that brown sauce on ruins the bread it tasted pretty nasty,my friend liked the bread but said that the sauce ruined it. The bread to me just wasn’t very nice I make home made bread myself and this was pretty poor it tasted nothing like homemade bread. For the main I had a medium rare steak the steak was very raw inside you may aswell have just gave me a cow mooing and only the sides had been touched it was cold in the middle!! and warm on the outside (I ate it as I was so hungry I had been working all day and came straight home dressed and out again) but it had not been cooked properly to how I like it, I felt funny after eating the steak. The service was really poor one lad said to us “have you finished with that” nearly everybody spoke so lazy there was no professionalism. There was only one person who stood out as I overheard him serve another table and he was very welcoming and professional he was wearing all black and was also working on the bar he had dark blond ish hair and spoke gentle,I hope your paying him well because his manners etc is impeccable and he was very polite to us when he served us upstairs at the bar."

"The best part of the night was the jokes about how bad the food was in all honesty! Satay chicken was chewy and all the main meals were tasteless, photos of two separate meals which tasted identical (of nothing) I mentioned to a waitress i wasnt happy with my main… her reply was “okay” took my plate and walked off. When it came to paying i went over to the counter and quietly said to the owner i would like to pay please however i have not eaten my main, i did not enjoy it, it wasn’t very nice” he absolutely hit the roof, awful temper on him. He said “you cant do that its not fair”, “you should have chosen something you like” (pad thai noodles with chicken i chose, something i would 100% have liked if i could taste anything) “you are rude horrible lady” he literally announced in front of all his customers that i refused to pay! He got everyones attention and shouted “this lady not pay for food, everyone else pay for food but not her because she didnt like it” IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE RESTAURANT!” Then Continued to shout at me and was extremely angry. Thankfully i managed to hold my own, (when he allowed me to speak, just kept shouting over me) but not everyone would be been able to stand up for themselves, and not everyone would have been able to stay calm and talk calmly still. I suspect if i was a man he wouldnt have tried to argue it. But i’m just a women so he thought he could get away with it? That is how it felt! So what was me trying to discretely discuss my issues turned into the whole place knowing about it. I am 4 months pregnant and honestly it really upset me after it happened. i had to walk out of the restaurant to calm myself down. Making a pregnant women cry… well done! Top marks to the “manager” i Was so upset that he spoke to me like that! I still paid for the rest of mine and my partner’s meals. Which honestly nearly didnt after he spoke to me like that. Never in my life have i experienced an owner/manager of a restaurant arguing with me when i was not happy with the food! I hate complaining at the best of times, no one enjoys it surely. But i refuse to pay for food when i didnt eat it! Unfortunately i am not that rich that i can afford something that i didnt have. Honestly would never step foot in that place again. I dont think anyone who was there to witness it would either. The customers all quite quickly paid up and left after that! I agree with the other bad reviews… who on earth rated them 4 or 5 stars?! "
