"The Magazine at the Serpentine Sackler Gallery is a work of art in its own right! Just look at that sleek, futuristic exterior and the bright, airy interior. Nestled in Kensington Gardens, it was the perfect spot to savor the final days of summer. I even got to wear my white dress one last time! We met our close friends, Lauren and Dave, who are about to welcome their first child. So, for the first time, I ordered a non-alcoholic cocktail—a cucumber cooler. The menu at The Magazine is primarily Japanese, crafted by chef Oliver Lange, or 'Ollysan,' who is European but has a deep passion for Japanese cuisine and culture. Although Japanese food often includes raw fish, which isn't ideal for a pregnant lady, there were plenty of options for Lauren. We started with a sushi platter featuring spicy hamachi, Scottish salmon, tempura soft shell crab, and surf and turf rolls. Unfortunately, it took a while for the food to arrive, and we were quite hungry after a late lunch and a trip to the gym, but when it did come, it was definitely worth the wait. For main courses, we had sea bass with white bean and smoked clam sauce, and roasted monkfish with coconut and lemongrass. There was also hamachi sashimi served ceviche-style with mango and scallop crisp. We ordered scallops with cauliflower and ginger for Lauren, but they weren't cooked enough for her, though the rest of us thoroughly enjoyed them. Lauren had a pregnancy-friendly parsnip soup instead. To make up for the wait, we were treated to a round of complimentary desserts: poached apricot with a butter financier, a deconstructed banoffee pie with roasted tea ice cream, and my personal favorite—beetroot, blackberry, and yogurt that tasted wonderfully light and healthy. We paired those with a decadently rich chocolate brownie! Although our food took a full hour to arrive, every dish was definitely worth the wait. The flavors were outstanding, all set within a stunning environment. I promise this will be my last blog post until Monday!"

I love this place. Here every week. I love the staff and the coffee is 5 star alone. The garden around it is award winning and the flower displays are made by one of the stars from Netflix The Big Flower Fight

a beautiful quirky restaurant in the heart of the Hyde Park next to the serpentine bager gallery. a bit on the expensive side for a la carte. the menu is more reasonable. very beautiful seating outdoors and the design of the restaurant is unique. Make sure to visit the toilet to see the quirky taps!

Delicious and fresh food in a beautiful building worth visiting. I really liked the aubergine dish as well as the side dishes that complement the mains very well. Lots of veggie options as well. We went for an early dinner and it was quiet but was great to enjoy the interior. Very relaxing atmosphere and really enjoyed our meal.

.a stunning restaurant, in a stunning environment that feels like they were transported 50 years into the future. I think that these half lasting structures, which can be dismantled and built with ease, which will be a thing of the future, will only think of the places they can be set to. when we arrived in the magazine, there was a little confusion on the set menu offered on the website, it was not available on Saturdays (even if the website so said.) the personal has naturally honored the offer

This is a lovely spot to unwind with a drink and a snack. The only downside I noticed is that there can be a gap between lunch service and dinner service, which can be a bit unpredictable. It's a good idea to plan your visit and give them a call; otherwise, you might only be offered the drinks and snack menu when you arrive. Additionally, it's wise to check their opening hours. On the day I visited, it was warm outside, and the interior felt even warmer at first, but you quickly acclimate, and it cools down. I’m not sure how it will feel during the summer. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the food since I missed the lunch hours. View menu

The Magazine is located adjacent to the Serpentine Galleries in Hyde Park. Its name pays homage to the building's history; originally constructed in 1805 to store gunpowder, it transitioned to become the Serpentine Sackler Art Gallery in September 2013. The restaurant sits in an annex designed by the renowned architectural firm of Zaha Hadid, celebrated for her trademark curves and flowing forms. The dining area is impressive, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and a white roof that seems to gracefully spill over the walls. The space is bright and airy, with ample natural light and well-spaced tables for a comfortable dining experience. For more information, visit: [hidden link]

a truly charming restaurant, kept perfectly in a magnificent location or the heart of the hidepark. the architecture that contains the restaurant is really remarkable, clean, modern, elegant in direct contrast to the building next to older bricks that contain instead art exhibitions. a goto that fascinates me very much. the interior is impeccable, modern furnishings and in harmony with the architecture itself. I can say the waiters are very kind and sunny. with all these expectations given by the environment I was anxious to try their dishes and I have to say that they are at it. The salmon tartare appetizer was perfect, one of the best I've ever had, I really recommend it. Just defect? the...
