"We visited a restaurant with a new menu where the staff made sure to get feedback and ensure everything was perfect. They were passionate about their work and it showed in their polite, attentive, and professional service. The pianist added to the ambiance, creating a relaxing atmosphere for our evening. The food was excellent, with each of us trying different dishes for starters, mains, and desserts, all of which were outstanding. We had a perfect evening and would definitely return without hesitation."

I want to start by saying that I am not a fan of golf. I do not have much interest in it and it's just not my thing. I don't want to criticize it, but it's not something I enjoy.

I visited this restaurant for an overnight stay and spa day as a birthday treat. The room was exceptionally clean and modern, equipped with a TV, fridge, and tea-making facilities.

The food was exceptional. Each of the three of us ordered different items for our starter, main course, and dessert, and all were exquisite. I couldn't find any faults with the evening and would not hesitate to dine there again.

Overall, the evening was enjoyable with good ambience and service. The only downside was that my reservation made through Open Table was not registered at Mere. Luckily, there was an empty table available. It's unclear whose mistake it was, Mere or Open Table. View menu

Every aspect of the evening was enjoyable - the atmosphere, the delicious food, and the attentive service. The only issue was that my reservation made through OpenTable was not registered with Mere. Luckily, there was a vacant table available. It is unclear whose fault it was - Mere or OpenTable.

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The ambiance was calm and allowed us to relax and enjoy each other's company. The staff was welcoming and attentive, and the food was exceptional. It was the ideal way to commemorate our special occasion. We are grateful to our children for such a considerate gift.

"We came across this rather charming cafe whilst venturing the streets of Knutsford early one morning. The cafe looked impressive upon initial glance from the outside, whilst inside very clean. We were greeted quickly, seated immediately and the owner came back with our menus. We noticed there was also an upstairs area so in essence it was a decent size for a cafe. The place opens everyday, 8.45am 5.pm The postcode of the cafe is WA16 6ED, It was difficult to park outside but there was a car park on Malt Street, just around the corner, WA16 6DX. Toilets were upstairs, scrupulously clean. We ordered the Eggs Benedict which was priced at £10.00 the Omelette priced at £10.80 both decent value as both meals were delicious. The only critique was on our time here we encountered loud and boisterous fellow diners who seemed not to care about keeping the voices down which made it difficult to hear your own conversations. This is not the fault of the cafe, just unfortunate, that said, the cafe does have an open plan kitchen and the noise which comes from the kitchen was what sounded like continuous banging of pans etc, this could be easily rectified if the placed doors onto the kitchen to minimise the noise entering the dining area. All in all, a lovely cafe, decent value, superb food cooked to perfection, fresh ingredients and an extensive menu range, We will definitely come here again when next visiting the North West."

"I had pre-booked a table for six, including three babies. I was informed that three prams wouldn't fit, which was totally understandable, but I was assured there would be room for one pram and two high chairs. We made sure to bring travel prams that could fold small enough to fit in the cloakroom, and one of us even left their pram in the car. However, I was provided with a broken and unsafe high chair. When I requested a different one, a very rude staff member basically told me to deal with it. The pub was also uncomfortably hot and crowded, and we were seated right next to a fire. When we arrived, the fire was unlit, but a staff member came over to light it just behind one of the prams. I politely asked if he could leave it unlit since my baby was already feeling warm, but he ignored my request and went ahead anyway. The food, as always, was delicious, but out of the six of us, only four ordered the lamb dinner, which consisted of just one very lean lamb chop per person. The shared vegetable dishes for all six of us included only one small dish of greens, one small dish of cauliflower cheese, and one boat of gravy. Overall, I felt like we were being rushed and that our presence was more of an inconvenience. I'm genuinely disappointed because I used to highly recommend this place to my friends. After today, I’ll certainly think twice before returning. It's just not worth it, especially if you have children! Safety: Terrible Service: 1 Location: 1 "

"I visited The Railway Inn with 14 others for a Sunday lunch a few days ago. We rarely see one another so it was an occasion for us all. I was immediately greeted by frowns and cold shoulders at the bar when ordering drinks. I let it go. We all have bad days. We then sat for our meals. I had the Beef Dinner. The beef was dry and tough and swamped in a tasteless beige gravy that was literally dribbling off the edges of the plate. It was, sadly, the worst Sunday Lunch I've had. Still, I didn't want to spoil the occasion. When the meal was finished we wanted to sit outside in the large garden. We asked and was given rolled-eyes from the waitress who seemed irritated at our wish to go sit in the sun. Ooookay. I then went back to the bar to order another drink and heard three members of staff, including the very rude and flat-out obnoxious lady pulling pints, moaning loudly about having to sweep the floor near the high-chair we had at our table. The high-chair, of course, had a little toddler in it, and she sadly dropped a few crumbs. How dare she!? Well, they weren't happy. This was an appalling experience from beginning to end. I'm no stranger to poor service. It's a common occurrence, but I think this might just be the worst I've encountered in a long, long time. Food was bad. Service was horrendous. We spent around £350 in food and drinks here on this afternoon, and I wish we'd gone somewhere else. All 15 of us will refrain from visiting this location again, and we urge anyone else considering a nice meal out to find somewhere else to go and enjoy. The beer garden here is a sizeable one, but it isn't worth the rest of the awful stuff just to enjoy a table in a field."
