Friendly people. Fab food. However, the toilets were not good. There was no toilet paper, and the ladies hadn't been cleaned. I'm disappointed on that front. Mentioned it to them and they said they'd sort the issue as I was leaving. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 View menu

The restaurant is well-presented, offering generous portion sizes for the main courses. Service was excellent, making for a pleasant dining experience. I dined in for dinner and the cost per person was around £40–50. Overall, I would rate the food a 4, the service a 5, and the atmosphere also a 5.

Lovely food, terrible service. Waited over 20 minutes for a drink, then they brought the starters and mains too near each other. Then we struggled to get anyone to order dessert or even some water. The food was mediocre, and the prices were high. However, what really stood out was the apparent policy of the owner, who seems to prevent the waitstaff from keeping any tips given by customers. I can only assume he keeps the tips for himself. It makes me wonder where the service charge we paid goes. If this is true, it's quite unethical. For this reason alone, I won't be returning. It's important to treat staff with respect and allow them to receive tips for their work. This reflects poorly on the management. Food rating: 3. View menu

So had been here with family. The Chefs are amazing. The service staff was fabulous as well. It’s just the only thing I didn’t like was when I was paying and saw a service charge of £11 pounds. I frankly speaking do not mind paying the service charge but when I confirmed with the service staff about do they get this money? He said no it goes to the hotel not for the service staff who actually deserve it. I don’t want to name the staff that told me this but this is so cheap. If the staff deserve it just give it to them in cash rather than paying on the PED machines.

This was our first trip to the Raj on a cold Sunday evening while our son watched a film next door. In the 2 hours we were I 'm the restaurant we were the only 'eat in ' dinner. There were also only two takeaways collected in the same time frame. This was quite a surprise to us as the food was delicious, well cooked, and very fresh. The menu is extremely broad, including various vegan options as well as the usual as veg and non-veg dishes. The staff were friendly and very attentive... although maybe they were just pleased to have someone to serve! So in summary, we 'd recommend it!

As a result, we couldn't enjoy our meal and ended up rushing through it while bundled up in our thick coats and jackets before leaving. The staff didn’t even apologize for the situation. To make matters worse, they added a service charge to our bill, which isn’t mandatory. Just a heads up to everyone: check your bill before paying and don’t hesitate to ask for the service charge to be removed if you need to, as we learned the hard way after paying when the staff told us they couldn't reimburse us. We had hoped for a pleasant evening but would have preferred to stay home and order from somewhere else, or go to another restaurant where the temperature is comfortable and customers aren't left...
