"Beautiful environment with Christmas decorations everywhere, but the service and the food was not perfect enough for a Michelin star. Our main course of Brill was boiled in the middle and my husband's mackerel starter was too small and not great. The soufflés with Armagnac and plum ice cream were huge and beautiful, although some caramelized pears with it would be even more beautiful. The wine list is also very expensive and they did not have the picpoul we had ordered. We were offered to another Italian wine, but it was not a game, so we ordered a more expensive South African Sauvignon Blanc instead. The free dessert wine, the canapés and candy were nice extras. Finally, the staff was very strenuous and not so well organized so that the service was not on scratches. This was not helped by the fact that the restaurant was full and there was also a large family group near us, babies and buggies!"

We had afternoon teas with excellent teas, but less than exciting food and inspiring deserts

Disappointed at Sunday roast quality. Brand is first class, however I wouldn't say food quality is first class.

We enjoyed a variety of excellent teas during our afternoon tea experience, however, the food was lackluster and the desserts were uninspired.

It's one of the most special dining rooms in London. Some of the formality has eased over the years but the food and service remain impeccable.

The best culinary experience ever! Koch surprises 6 courses with fine wines, piano string quartet with singer. Where else do you find this ambience and delicious food? Far exceeded our expectations.

40. Wedding day dinner. Made with the 6-course menu with fine wines, excellent from start to finish. Very experienced waiters and sommeliers on food and wine. Location really excellent. Well worth the money to celebrate with those you love and care.

Classic food in a classic environment. Expect high class but unflashy food. Expect excellent service but high prices especially the wine list. Tables well spaced out so good for conversation. Good to do once in a while for a special occasion, such as great uncle George's 90th birthday.

Still the most beautiful room in London, though nowadays the liveried service seems not as polished as it once was. Clunkiness and loud intramural discussions seem the norm. Likewise, the food, though elegantly presented, was not as good to eat as to visually admire. Withal, it is an excellent experience which fades only when compared to the magnificent past represented by its regal pricing.

Being visitors we were a little lost. We were told to go to the end of the hall however the lecturn was unattended. Went back to Ravoli Bar and told to go back to the door. Again unattended, we decided to try again to have a drink in the bar. They were good cocktails. We then had dinner. Crab shell in the entree. Local lobster was delicious. However the server seemed disinterested and clumsy. We Even had to pour our champagne after having empty glasses for a long time. Desert was ok. Not worth the money paid expected better service and better food. However wanted to experience The Ritz Restaurant and did so.
