"The entire experience was amazing, top-notch all the way. The restaurant is a large stone and wood building connected to the main house, resembling a Celtic roundhouse. Tables are adorned with candles and there is large chandelier lighting. Guests walk through a library/sitting room to reach the restaurant, which also features a log burner and large leather sofas, making it the perfect spot for post-dinner coffee. The restaurant, house, and cottages offer breathtaking views and create a relaxed atmosphere both inside and outside, allowing guests to watch ducks on the beautiful pond. The menu changes weekly, featuring dishes made with local, fresh, and seasonal ingredients. Fiona, who warmly greets guests with her infectious laugh, is friendly and welcoming. Guests can enjoy a pre-dinner aperitif from the cocktail list, such as the flirtini and the triple P cocktail, created by Fiona using Prosecco, pear liqueur, and pomegranate. Starters include beetroot cured Wester Ross salmon with pickled cucumber, goats cheese with poached red wine figs, and smoked chicken and avocado Tian, all of which were delicious. Main courses like Margmore venison marinated in red wine, slow-cooked Moroccan chicken, and Fife's Puddledub buffalo sirloin steak were all wonderful. For dessert, the Glen Lyon coffee and Bailey's creme brulee with pistachio crisp was simply delightful. The dishes displayed attention to detail and were a true slice of heaven, showcasing the chef's travels and influences from around the world. The hospitality was exceptional, making for a truly memorable evening. I will definitely be returning to this fantastic establishment, and will take the opportunity to stay in this peaceful and gorgeous place next time I visit Aberfeldy. Xoxo."
