"Had dinner here last month (October 2022). Visits from the USA Certainly our favorite foods on the Amalfi Coast. They have a terrace overlooking the sea to enjoy an aperitif before dinner. Delicious food, view of the coast and exceptional service. Our servers went beyond and beyond. It is a chic restaurant experience without feeling excessively formal. Some of my favorites were the mozzarella in tomato broth, prawn risotto and steamed mussel spaghetti. The Clam Spaghetti has been on the menu since its opening and remains unchanged with good reason! The hotel is about 5 minutes' drive from Amalfi bus stop and a 25-minute drive from Positano. This family-run and operated restaurant is over 100 years old, and you can say they really love it and proud of their work. There are many basic tourist restaurants along the Amalfi coast, but this was amazing quality and absolutely worth it. Appropriate prices too. We noticed all the other diners there at night were locals, and our server confirmed it. Since Ciccio Cielo Mare Terra should visit every “must visit” list!"

"Locale di gusto in partenza marinaro (pareti a calce bianca con molti arredi celesti) ma molto ricercato nei complementi, con pareti che rivaleggiano con una galleria d 'arte. Le ceramiche usate per presentare i piatti, in particolare, sono decisamente notevoli: produzione locale, sono un trionfo di colore, un piacere poterti gli occhi. E ognuno è un pezzo unico. Cucina: al di là di qualche piatto evidentemente richiesto da turisti anglosassoni, il menù vale il prezzo, sfruttando ricette e ingredienti locali. Anche una semplice pasta al pomodoro regala soddisfazioni. I fritti, il 'cuoppo ' in particolare, sono la panacea per il palato: dovrebbero metter su una scuola di frittura! Il personale, cortese, educato e affabile, fa del suo meglio per mettere a proprio agio il visitatore. Leggermente caro ma al di sotto di quanto propone il panorama amalfitano. Assolutamente consigliato."

"We tried the tasting menu and it was simply incredible. Our compliments to the chef! This was the highlight of our 10-day Italy trip and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to treat themselves in Amalfi!! On a side note, it was pouring rain when we visited and our shoes were soaked and had no choice but to change into our flip flops before going there for our dinner. We were just about let in so do be aware that you need to be dressed more appropriately."

"Love this pub!!!! This is our second visit to Pogerola and of course our first stop was to see Gerry and his family. We are Irish and know a good pub when we visit one. And Gerry’s is one of the best on the planet. He is there every day and takes a genuine interest in all his guests. There is always a warm welcome as soon as you step through the door. We have eaten at Gerry’s on numerous occasions and the food is excellent. I love the seafood pasta and my hubby enjoys the pizza. The food is authentic, well presented and delicious. We have eaten breakfast each morning since arriving at Gerry’s and enjoyed the magnificent views from the patio. The coffee is exceptional and always served with a smile. The atmosphere here is exactly what you want from an authentic Italian welcome. Even other patrons are warm and welcoming of each other. We like to start and finish our days at Gerry’s. After a long day sightseeing it is so nice to return to the quiet village of Pogerola and drop in with Gerry for a cool beer and a chat about our day. Gerry has so much knowledge about the area and can help with anything we ask. We always leave each time feeling like one of the family. Congratulations Gerry you should be very proud of your business and the community of people you have brought together from across the world. See you for breakfast soon. Sandra and Alistair."

"The food was average but the experience was above average. And don't get me wrong, average food in Amalfi is pretty good in our book, but we have to keep it relative. I would still recommend this restaurant for the overall dining experience even though it is close to the ferries and tourists and appeared to be a stopping point for a large tourist group. They didn't bother us though and the service was quick and efficient. We got a table outside right on the railing overlooking the water so the sites were great and the hot sun kept off of us by an awning. I ordered pizza and my wife ordered caprese salad. We both had beers and enjoyed our lunch."

"Il Tari är en av de bästa restaurangerna vi besökte i hela världen! Under våra 5 dagar i Almalfi åt vi en lunch och en middag. Lunchen var så fantastiskt bra att vi bodde på restaurangen i mer än tre timmar. På vår sista kväll i Almalfi hade vi naturligtvis middag på Il Tari. Maten är utsökt och personalen är mycket trevlig. De skapar en trevlig atmosfär i den snygga och rena restaurangen. Kocken Giovanni skapar rätter som är en fantastisk matupplevelse. Smakerna är perfekta och disken ser ut som konstverk. Vi rekommenderar verkligen Il Tari."

"The food was excellent and the ambience was quiet and, if it was daylight, the view would have been fantastic. The restaurant is high on the mountain overlooking the Amalfi coast. An added bonus was a free shuttle from our hotel in Amalfi (though you should plan to tip the driver because 1) a taxi would cost at least 35 Euros each way and 2) like any ride through the narrow and curvng strreets in the hills around the Amalfi Coast, the drive is challenging. I rated the service a 3 out of 5 only because I did not want that rating to detract too much from my overall rating. It's a small restaurant and they had only two servers (one of whom was new, I believe) and one bartender with an unfriendly demeanor who did not seem to give much of himself to assist the servers. A large group came into the restaurant when my wife and I were about halfway through our meal. From that point onward, it was a struggle to get any attention, to say the least. Getting the check to pay when we were finished was an incredible ordeal. Even after we got up from our table after waiting at least 15 minutes after first asking for the check, and thogh I could see the more experienced server preparing our bill, it still took another 5-10 minutes to present it to me for payment. Still, i would attribute this to the unfortunate circumstances of understaffing and the untimely (for us and, perhaps, the servers) arrival of a large party that appeared to be some important people. I recommend that you give this restaraunt a try because the chef's preparations alone are worth the trip."

"The restaurant was unfortunately not great. They recommended a wine which was completely different to what we said we like. The food came and was overpriced, €50 for sea bass with a few potatoes. The service was not good as they were understaffed, we waited 45 minutes for the bill and ended up going inside to pay. They added an extra dish to our bill and couldn’t really explain the cost of other items. I really wouldn’t spend a night in amalfi here."

"When you meet e young ladies ready to offer you the best pizzas, lasagna and salads, and when they smile at you with all heart, you really feel Italy is your country too! For several days, I spent time there, reading my Murakami books and...drinking cold beers (in August 2019) while my wife and daughter were cooking themselves on the Amalfi beaches. Meanwhile, Carmen, Vittoria and Maria prepared for me the finest salads and pizzas, just to help the beer go better. The service was perfect, since the girls were more than hospitable and kind. The food is classic Italian, very tasty. If I will ever go back to Amalfi, this is the place I would spend my afternoons, reading and tasting their pizzas!"

"back to the back to dinner. waiting they staff is not the kindest, but they seemed very busy both nights. I had a Margherita pizza first and it was delicious. second night I had the pasta carbonara and was not very impressed and got a stomach ache (like the heavy sauce, was not gluten). we ordered both the same pasta (my gf is not gf) and both meal times were taken out on the same stylistic plate and saw the same. was a little nervous, the waiter (other than the one we ordered) was mixed with the teller. they bring warm gf brot on their table in a plastic-hair envelope, so they know that it was not contaminated. try them and sit them outside so they have a look at the church"
