"I’ve given this a one star due to the fact that I’ve eaten here on many occasions. Beautiful Craster kippers food is excellent. However, on one occasion I needed to use the toilet as I have a hidden disability. The manager unfortunately refused point blank to allow me to use the facilities even though I carry a medical no wait card due to disability very disappointed with them despite the beautiful food, and lovely atmosphere I will never eat there again."

"Popped in just for a nice hot coffee but have visited many times. Great place in Amble. Stunning views. Warkworth Castle visible overlooking the river. Outside seating area too. What's not to like about the Fish Shack. You pay a little more than average but that comes with the location and stunning view. Parking: There are 2 car parks very close by. Currently the one next to the customs house was 50p per hour. "Myself and family in a group of 20 were up at Amble on Sunday scattering my Mams ashes and reliving some memories of many holidays and time spent here. We planned on finishing the afternoon with fish and chips from here but unfortunately we were refused use of the toilet facilities for two small children under 3 before being seated (presumably in case we simply used the toilets then left? Bearing in mind the place was absolutely empty I simply cannot understand the mentality of the owner. Needless to say they lost a sale of easily over £200 but after reading other reviews I don’t suppose the owner will be remotely bothered, sad memory to end a nice day. "This is a cozy little café that really knows how to make you feel welcome, and it's dog-friendly too! The freshly made baguettes are a fantastic value, and you can enjoy them with a cup of tea and complimentary biscuits or mince pies. I would highly recommend this place!"
