"I have been coming to this chippy for years and have never had a bad experience with either food or service. I bought fish and chips bout a month ago and although food was delicious the member of staff was not. Today 8th Oct I came into the chippy. It was clearly busy with the cafe being full. However, I waited over 10 minutes just to be served whilst the assistants discussed who was working which shift, cleaned the front of the counter and ignored the que. A little acknowledgement would have been lovely. Then when the food came, I asked for salt vinegar but it was so salty it was inedible and the batter was mushy the batter is usually beautiful. A really disappointing experience from a place that was the best in Amble and let's be honest it isn't cheap. I hope these couple of bad experiences are just a blip and the service food will return to its normal quality.
