"I am still after our dinner at lake street kitchen in ambleside, before a week. we had planned to visit only old stamp house and maybe a light tee in a pub later this evening. then I got a message from someone in the industry that recommends it, and he really knows his wobble. well traveled, worth eating blogger cumbriafoodie rave over, so I knew that we need to try to make a reservation, even if it means to do two flavors in a day and break our budget. the search for better and better restaurants will be like a ridiculously never ending obsession and the more it goes on, the less satisfied they will be with most places closer to home. I'm so glad we kicked out the boot. it turned out to be a very inspiring journey. next to the man behind the curtain in leeds it was the most exciting foundation of the year for us. that is interesting in itself, as they are in some way 're polar opposites in style. but we loved them both, if you put me a gun at the head and asked me what I thought about eating before this meal, I would have said that it was not less important to me in all honesty. I'm just worried about what's on my teller and how delicious it is. but hearing the chef chef james cross speaks so passionately about his early morning, because he triggers trips on beaches and forests, it would take a complete cynic, not be impressed. this Northern European style has a real focus on the use as much quality local products and food wherever possible. the world-famous chef rene redzepi has made this an all-encompassing philosophy. james worked at noma and at per se in new york (some 100 hours, he told me). both have very good food bucket lists, as I am sure they know and this experience brings so much knowledge, work ethics and passion that is very obvious when it comes to its style of cooking. but less the waffel, what about eating? we have agreed on a menu of 65 pfund each."
