"We were recommended to go to this restaurant by the receptionist at the Hostal Castilla she said the food was real Spanish food, well served by nice people. She was absolutely right, and what a great price too we went for the set...menu, three courses plus wine (ok, not fantastic wine but they gave us gaseosa too, which Spanish people use to adulterate not-great wine, making it basically tinto de verano and water and coffee for 20 euros. Their salad of ventresca (sort of tuna but different, and Spanish) was very good, their grilled (yes, grilled) fresh asparagus was divine, then the main dishes we had were veal, beautifully cooked, and rabbit also beautifully done, followed by delicious local cheese or home-made flan. It's simple food but this is SO difficult to find in Spain, which has an inferiority complex about its own food. The owners/waiters were charming, the locale is an old building decorated in really Spanish style what a find, I thoroughly recommend it. You won't do better anywhere for this price."
