"For our main dishes, we tried the mussels with speck and saffron and the beef and mushroom pie. The mussels were plump and perfectly cooked, served with a tasty shellfish broth and homemade focaccia. The pie was filled with tender steak, mushrooms, and rich gravy, all encased in a crispy, buttery pastry. Although we were already full, we couldn't resist trying some of the homemade desserts. We shared a sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel ice cream and a delightful butterscotch sauce, all of which were made on-site and absolutely delicious.
Overall, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit, even if it requires a journey to get there. We already can't wait to go back and try more dishes from their menu. This is how country pubs should be!"
