This means that an Aegidienberger Institution has moved. And this is a real event in our 6,000-soul mountain village. And also a bit of a policy, because the Aegidiusplatz now has a starting station less. How was La Grappa earlier: Spaciously tight with eight tables, smoker-yellow rough plaster, terracotta imitate tiles, oak rustic. I rarely went to dinner. But the pizza was always great and was then picked up and eaten at home. And how is it now? La Grappa now resides in the former “crystal tower”. This is such a type of Mediterranean-style bungalow with kernels, red-covered roofs and dorian columns, which already has a somewhat skurril look in the industry-constrained Middle Rhine architecture of the immediate neighborhood. Inside the open roof construction and the dark stoneware tiles radiate comfort. The spacious, open room design also allows insights into a stainless steel blinking large kitchen with gas stoves and open grill. The heart of the leisure chef laughs! : Above all, La Grappa has at least four times as much space. On Friday night it's cheerful. The Aegidienberger are simply grateful for every new offer. I'm glad I reserved a table. I miss the appetizer counter from the “old” La Grappa. And in the lush spaces, I had also hoped for a dessert counter. Also a look at the newly printed card shows me the well-known offer. I would have expected more innovation. I'm looking for a wine range in vain in the beverage part. But I didn't ask for a wine card because I had beer sausage. The cellar puts a bread basket with six slices of Giabatta and some butter on the table. For four people a little sparing. Then come tomato soup, lasagna, tortellini al forno, tagliatelle with shrimps and Taglierini ai porcini (for me. The food was fine, the noodles made fresh. A bit of a pity, I find the waiter clearing empty plates while one is still at dinner. But at the end of 60 euros for four people with two courses and all drinks is and remains an unbeatable price-performance ratio. My conclusion: 4 stars. After moving into the crystal tower, La Grappa is “old wine in new hoses”. I mean that the owners could make more of the new premises and the gratitude of Aegidienberger for new culinary offers. There's something to come for the fifth star."

"I had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant during a business trip to the area. My overall experience was very good. There was a bit of delay in the arrival of the food, but that could possibly be attributed to the large number of members...in our dining party Once the appetizer arrived, the speed of service picked up. The dining courses that were served had been recommended by the chef and as a result, I didn't select anything from the menu. To start, there was a salmon appetizer with an herbed cream sauce that melted in my mouth. This is remarkable as I do not typically prefer salmon dishes. For the main course, there was a seafood platter that included a local fish, shrimp, calamari and gnocchi. The various types of seafood were each prepared a different way and brought together in a flavorful balance. Dessert was presented as a assortment of samples that included fresh mango, walnut ice cream, tiramisu and flavored creams. The meal was very satisfying and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very inviting. There was a nice view of the surrounding area from the dining room and I suspect that in the spring and summer months the landscape includes more lush colors. I would be happy to dine at this location again. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on the perspective) I cannot offer any information regarding the price of the selections as I was not the party responsible for the bill on this occasion. My guess is that based on the atmosphere and offerings, that the prices were on the more expensive side."
