"situated on the street of my hotel (ac badajoz), on a street with restaurants and bars in an opposite, which is just a short taxi ride from the center of the city, it was perfect for my Sunday lunch. relaxed, local atmosphere. no. chic decor, but bright, airy dining room with large tables and crisp tablecloths. it was full of the time I finished eating. not cheap for the Spanish standards, especially when I was told by the friendly, veteran waiter that the advertised set menu was not available, but still, generous portions: my starter salad was so big I couldn't finish it. the main (Lamb-Cops) was also a good size and everything was well cooked. I asked for a glass of house red to wash everything, but it was said again that there was no wine through the glass. instead I was brought a small carafe of surprisingly good house red, for which I paid just over euro! the bill, for two courses, with wine, bread, coffee, water and service, came over euro."
