"A lovely cafe easily missed. The coffee is very good indeed. My grandson, aged four had chocolate brownie and absolutely loved it. I had the Nutella biscuit which was large, crispy and frankly very yummy. My daughter chose tea but left it to brew for a few minutes and it was fine. We all thoroughly enjoyed what we had and it was very good value. It is a popular and pleasing little café which is well worth a visit. I also noted a gentleman in a wheel chair was able to fairly easily access a table and was made welcome. So top marks for this little gem! I had only recently tried the ice cream. It is superb and the best locally. It is home made and extremely tasty and there is a good choice. I really must recommend the wild cherry: tangy, deep flavoured, colourful just brilliant. My daughter tried gingerbread and gave it the thumbs up too! I notice the menu more carefully on this visit. The breakfast and lunch options are very varied, competitively priced and I look forward to giving them a try. I notice that there are changing facilities in the clean, tidy toilet which will be of interest to families with babies. Do visit this café. It offers a wide range of interesting and largely Italian dishes and the service is always cheerful and efficient. Gelato In previous reviews I have covered cakes, bread, scones, biscuits, coffees and smoothies. There is certainly a good choice of tasty home made food and drinks, competitively priced. Service is friendly, quick and efficient and WIFI is available. Poma however is perhaps best known for its gelato which comes in delicious flavours and attractive colours. I think it is the best you will get in Beverley. You can buy ice cream cones, house sundaes and milk shakes. I tried the latter for £3.60. You choose your gelato flavours and two scoops are blended into a delicious bespoke gelato shake. You can top this with whipped cream and a flake for 0.40p extra. I can thoroughly recommend this and particularly on a hot day or after a long shop."
