"Today after visiting Janson Castle in the wine region Pfaltz stopped in this wonderful restaurant. Daniel, the owner couldn't have taken care of us better if we were family. He mixed us some great aperitifs before dinner (the Lillet or amazing Negroni) then enjoyed the best flamcake and Rump Steak for dinner. The carving is also a winner....You can't go wrong with everything the menu has to offer. The room (formerly an old stable) is welcoming and warm with the old charm Germany has to offer!"

"We made a trip to Bockenheim today and wanted to enjoy the Palatinate cuisine! We ordered a flame and onion cake. The flame cake was, on average, still reasonably edible compared to the onion cake. The Spätburgunder and the new wine were good, but could not comfort us over the food."
