"Set menu 23.50 3 courses,but most dishes on this set menu carry a supplement,so not as it quite seems. Firstly they tried midday to seat us upstairs ,out of the real atmosphere when there were many empty tables. No,we won't go up there...in the bar please! So after a polite challenge we sat downstairs. Quickly brought menus,an appetiser and offered drinks. It was quickly filling up, and we were pushed to place an order,which we didn't want to do,but enjoy a drink first and a leisurely lunch. However the staff had other ideas,pushing us to order,whilst we were still choosing.Difficult as the set lunch menu lacked real good choice,most options included a supplement. Nothing on the menu was very exciting or warranted this price ask. The place has changed,its no longer friendly but brisk,abrupt and hurried service,which is a real shame. The food was average at best,the wine uninteresting,no Picpoul by the glass for example.and we won't be rushing back. Its over rated and trading on badges....!!"
