"We were advised by the person we rent the apartment from to go here. The waitress was very quiet. Said almost nothing, just served the plates. My wife grilled Cod (19,50 Euro) was burnt to the level that the taste of the burnt outside tainted the whole piece of fish. The side of spinach was saltier than the olives. Our daughter's grilled octupus (22,50 Euro) had the same treatment. Burnt. My breaded Cod was okay, allbeit extremely salty. The portugese white wine was fine. Slightly fizzy, light and easy drinking. When we explained to the owner that my wife's fish was burnt, he only stated that's what happens on the grill..... I've travelled most of the world for work pleasure and have eaten in many different restaurants. Have had my food served burnt before, almost raw in one case, extremely salty, etecetera .... but what differentiates a good owner head waiter, is they take the food with them and check if the food is really burnt too salty raw and come back to explain or apologize. This owner seemed offended that we could even give some critique. I do hope he's passed it on to the cook(s) to avoid it happening in the future. We will not revisit this restaurant for sure, but hope others have a better experience. All in all, I would advise that if you wish to eat here, take the tapas. Maybe that is decent ....."
