"This restaurant is ever so slightly off the tourist trail in Calvi [few minutes walk but seems to be more a locals area of the town]. We parked near here and instead of eating at the usual sea front restaurants, decided to try here. Hands...down one of the best meals of the trip. Had St Pierre fish (which I was delighted to find out was John Dory which I've always wanted to try) on a creamy risotto and was honestly one of the tastiest things I've ever eaten. Staff were lovely, and the restaurant is very nice too. They had nice cakes on display also, which I didn't sample. Very good value too."

"We made a day trip to Corte from Ajaccio, wandered around, and found this place. And then we feasted. I had huge pizza with olives and tuna and capers--it has since inspired us to make our own pizzas at home, and to incorporate tuna and capers into our meals more frequently. She had pasta bolognese. We had a liter of wine and took our time. It was a great, leisurely lunch. The bill was roughly $35. We were both amazed by how small the bill was given how much we ate and drank, and how long we lingered. Of all the meals we had on our trip, this was one of the most simple, relaxed, and most memorable. note that this review is for June 2015, but for the longest time I couldn't remember the name of this place, and now I can't select to go back that far"

"We have the fortune to visit since seven years Calvi, everytime in Sommer and from the begin on we were at "Le Lido" at the restaurant for having food. We liked the food, the attention and the prices. One year later we decided to try again the restaurant and also the beach chairs and we really loved the service and all. We tried other beach places and food and we do not change "Le Lido". The place is wonderfull and relaxing. The personal attention makes it special. We just can fully recommend it! What I would like to remark is the endeavor from the owner, his family and all his crew to meet the requirements of its customers. They always welcome you with a smile and a friendly and positive attitude. You can talk french. Italian, english, spanish,. They are international friendly! -:)They organize different themen for the week, sea food, Brazilian party, Happy hour, Etc,. In the evening you can drink a great cocktail with a wonderful view to the sea and to the Citadelle. It is a great place to enjoy the nice firework party from the 15 of August as the Calvi people enjoy every year.After seven years we had visit different places, restaurants in Calvi and in other near towns, we really like to come every year to Calvi, to enjoy many different places and restaurants. And specially we love every time to come back to "Le Lido". We feel at home and as I already wrote before "We fully recommend it !!!!" We had have Lunch, Dinner, Drinks at the Bar in the evening, stayed at the Beach. We are missing breakfast, but we are sure its also very good. I was surprised of some negative comments but, anything may be perfect for one or the other client, I think it depends from taste and preferences of each one and always will be exceptions of the rule and that makes it just human perfect!!!I take this oportunity to thanks Andy, Stefi and Maria, Enzo, all the crew for the great years now and the ones comming in Calvi at the "Le Lido", its a pleasure to visite you and to have a wonderful personal attention from you every time and any time. But much more special thanks to the Cooks, for the great Tasty food and just in the right measure to go back to the beach to relax, make a siesta and swim again under the great sunset from Calvi. Enjoy Calvi, Enjoy "Le Lido" , Enjoy " Corsica", Enjoy Life !!!!!"

"Les prix étaient abordables, l'endroit juste magnifique pour ce petit restaurant qui paraît simple.J'ai été très surprise quand ma salade de chèvre est arrivée et que j'ai commencé à la déguster! C'était divin et nous avons pourtant essayer d'autres restaurant en Corse avant. Le chèvre sur les petits toasts de pain de mie juste toastés comme il faut, la salade verte fraîche, les tomates, le melon mmmhh et les noix! Vraiment je me suis régalée!!Mon mari également avec sa salade de poulet et nos 3 enfants difficiles à satisfaire ont également été ravis de leurs hamburgers-frites ou nuggets-frites.Du coup, malgré que nous n'ayons plus faim, nous avons voulu goûter le tiramisu nutella maison. Le gérant nous a ramené un énorme pot avec 3 cuillères et nous nous sommes régalés comme attendu!! Il a de plus offert 2 glaces à nos 2 enfants plus petits.Il est certain que si nous revenons en Corse, nous referons l'effort de grimper jusque là!!Un énorme merci!!"
