"Having arrived in town quite late for lunch and not having any references regarding the restaurants in the area, we simply walked around the street along the port checking restaurants out. When we finally decided to go into one, we were not accepted as it was too late. So not really wanting to eat at this restaurant, we ended up sitting in their terrace because at least they would serve us food. In other words, our expectations were low. Now, having low expectations doesn’t mean we don’t appreciate good food, so here we go:Surprise number 1: they were not only willing to feed us but they took us to a nice table in the terrace with nice views of the port.Surprise number 2: We chose as entry the salad with warm goat cheese to share. We received a pretty big salad for two people with fresh products and delicious warm goat cheese served on equally warm and crispy toasts. Delicious!Surprise number 3: I go for the mussels. These come perfectly cooked and yet fresh in a delicious Fisherman sauce. Not a single one of the mussels was closed, which means: good quality, good cooking times and good serving. It is a matter of statistics that at least 1 will not open when cooking; if this was the case, it was removed before serving.Surprise number 4: at a seafood and fish restaurant just in the port of Camaret sur mer, my husband decides he wants to have the House Burger. Not I good idea, I though. You don’t expect a good Italian pizza at a Chinese restaurant, right? Well… the burger was also delicious. The shaped was square just as the bread and by the look of the meat I would say this came from a piece of meat that had been grounded directly at the restaurant. And the French fries that came along were also homemade. Nothing to do with those frozen ones you get served nowadays almost everywhere.Surprise number 5: despite of being so late for lunch, the service was yet fast and nice and we didn’t feel neglected at any moment. So all in all we had a delicious food with good quality products, good presentation and good cooking in an honest restaurant with good location."
