"For our starters, we had poppadoms, which were stale and chewy. We all had the chicken chat on purée for our first course, and while it was the highlight of the meal, the accompanying bread was dry. Unfortunately, that was where the good news ended.
When we asked for another round of drinks, the staff member picked up our glasses and put his fingers inside them. Five minutes later, he returned with the same glasses—how do I know? He took three plain glasses and my green King glass. He placed them back on the table without washing them, just filled with Coke again.
As for the main courses, we had hoped for better. The first dish was red chicken tikka masala, and the server actually put his thumb into the dish while serving. He then proceeded to use that same thumb to serve every other dish on the table, including the rice, so every plate had been contaminated with his touch and flavors. To make matters worse, he poured one person’s meal onto their plate without even asking, simply to clear the dishes away.
Since last night, all four of us have been dealing with upset stomachs, which I can only attribute to the poor hygiene of our server. And for those who might think it was a busy night, there were only four tables occupied, with groups of four or five, which is hardly a crowd for a Friday.
Unfortunately, we won’t be returning, which is a shame since our initial visits were decent.
