"the burgers were very good, but what caffe does not serve hot drinks?! the seats (seated seats and stools) were very unpleasant. the restaurant was quite cold and surprising, so was the recipe we got from the personal. it could be so much better. with some decent sitting places, a bit warm round and maybe a smile because eating was very delicious."

"at the first visit today, and I will definitely come back! beautiful, friendly and attentive staff who look really happy to be there! when our waiter sat with fresh water, he spoke to us through the menu and paid the app (very useful! and constantly checked how we did it. eating is for dying, totally blown away, how delicious, fresh and the filling of the food was. so much better than the same old chain restaurants. wahaca has something for everyone and good for those who are introduced into Mexican food. absolutely delicious!"

"The restaurant itself was not as warm/pleasant in terms of decor/setting as I'd expect from Carluccios; the atmosphere was more like a cafe. However our waiter was absolutely fantastic; he was very friendly and efficient, made us feel very welcome and did a great job. The food was absolutely delicious, even though they were short-staffed and only had one chef there."

"We have been to many Thai restaurants across the UK and have usually been pleased and enjoyed the food. We were visiting Chichester for a few days and saw the very good reviews for Lemongrass so decided to give it a try. We ordered one of the set menus and some drinks. The restaurant was very pleasant and the staff were very friendly. Our waitress was called Sandy and she was very bubbly and lovely. The food was amazing from the first to the last course. Every dish was perfect. My husband commented that ‘Even the vegetable dish was excellent’. Lemongrass rounded off our visit to Chichester perfectly. Would recommend to anyone visiting Chichester. I’m sure the locals know what a gem they have already! Ask for Sandy."

"What a lovely café. From the outside, it was very unassuming and could have easily been missed. Once we were inside, it was very nice, and was very clean and tidy. We were greeted immediately by a lovely and very friendly gent who told us to choose a table. We did, and eventually ordered two lunch meals. I had a jacket with beans, and my guest had a Mac and cheese, which we also had alongside two drinks and two Victoria sponges. The food menu was the perfect size for a café menu, being enough to cater to most people, but small enough not to be overwhelming with choice. The food was very quick to arrive to the table and both of us commented that the taste was also absolutely delicious. Toilets nice and clean. Atmosphere in the café was calm and relaxed. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit, and wouldn’t hesitate to stop by again. Thank you!"

"This is a fantastic family-friendly pub to visit after a relaxing day at West Wittering Beach. The staff greeted us with warm smiles upon our arrival and accommodated our two dogs by seating us in the garden, where they stayed entertained on the climbing frame. The food was excellent! I particularly enjoyed the burger, which was delicious and held together by a skewer in the middle. My wife had a ham and mushroom pizza, which was not like your average store-bought pizza - it was hand-made, stone-fired, and fresh. Our dogs were also well taken care of, receiving attention from a friendly staff member who is a fellow dog owner and even got some free treats. I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner, but I personally think it's a perfect way to end the day with your family, so opt for dinner. I have never given an establishment 5 stars before, but this pub truly deserves it."

"We've frequented this pub for over five years. The chef is friendly and hospitable, but after numerous off-handed remarks from the Landlady, being humiliated for not having booked (even when the pub is empty) failing to order enough food to warrant our having a table and complaining about being busy or no-shows, we will no longer return. After a hard week of working we go to the pub to relax and wind down, but end up stressed when visiting this establishment. We regularly walk our dogs in the hills behind and we sometimes make a spur of the moment decision to eat and grab a drink for which we should not be made uncomfortable. There's a friendlier pub just a few yards down the road."

"We went to the restaurant for a Sunday dinner with a group of 12 people. Anita, the manager, was very friendly and accommodating, allowing us to add additional items to our order on the day. Most of us tried the black bass with Yorkshire pudding and found it to be amazing, with fresh and well-prepared vegetables on the side. The portions were generous, and some in our group were unable to finish their meals due to being too full. We appreciated the excellent service from the entire team and will definitely be returning in the future."

"We enjoyed lunch at this pub today on a beautiful day and chose to sit in the garden. It was our first outing with our new baby grandson, along with our daughters and son-in-law. The food was absolutely delightful and we couldn’t fault it at all. However, some of the staff could use a little training in customer service. The woman who brought our food was quite abrupt, and when my son-in-law went to pay, he was told, “We don’t take American Express,” in a way that could have been much more pleasant."

"The decor was pleasant, and the staff were friendly enough. We arrived in the early evening to find a few tables already occupied. The food was decent but lacked a wow factor. We felt that the prices did not match the quality of the items we received. There was a mix-up with our order, as they forgot one item and brought us a different one instead. There was also no follow-up to check on our meal or offer us another drink. Our bill for chorizo, calamari, mushrooms, a side salad, a glass of wine, a bottle of beer, and a service charge came to just under £60. We are unsure if it was worth it based on our overall experience. While our visit was okay, we may not rush to return based on this experience, but it could have been a one-time occurrence."

"Lovely restaurant with friendly, helpful staff. The restaurant was very busy with quite a few children around but we were shown to a table and were not disturbed. We both had a main course. "What a find! We stumbled across this pub on the way home from Marwell zoo. The staff and the customers (I assume locals) were incredibly friendly! We had a noisy 18 month old with us and everyone was so sweet with her and chatting to us. The garden is set up with some Lego and a little sandpit for children which is a lovely touch. Our food then arrived….beautiful! Really good food and the portions are huge!! We will definitely make a point of stopping by here again. What a find"

Risotto had a very strange taste to it. We tried 3 different deserts and none matched the description eg tarte tatin was actually a poached apple. All where disappointing. We would have complained if we weren't on route to the theatre. If food quality is important to you I would avoid Purchases. "Visited as part of our holiday, stayed nearby on campsite. We ordered a Sunday roast, lovely tender beef, homemade Yorkie, tasty gravy and amazing selection of properly cooked veg. We also ordered fish and chips, lovely moist fish (probably haddock) in a thin dry crispy batter, triple cooked chunky chips, peas and homemade tartare sauce, clean plates all round, 3 cask ales on hand pull, all tried and found to be be spot on. Spoke to all the FOH staff and chef during our visit, all very friendly and amazing customer service. Shame we live so far away otherwise this could quite easily become our favourite pub. Not quite sure why this is no.2 and not no.1 in Graffham village 100/100"
