"Was treated here by my husband for 3 days, absolutely loved our stay, grounds beautiful and only a short walk from Sandsend. Staff were very friendly, helpful, and smiley. Housekeeping were doing an amazing job and always friendly, especially when I asked for an extra bottle of water for the room. Thank you. Our room was 303. Nice and quiet area of hotel, in the roof, so no real view but was nice and quiet. Room was nice, although the bed was quite hard, the furniture needed some TLC and the size of the bathroom, easily could have had a decent walk in shower, that said it was ample enough for our 3 day stay, any longer stay I might have mentioned it on our stay. I do suggest maybe maintenance go take a look as a few things need tweaking. Restaurant and bar, now staff here were lovely and really helpful. One or two remembered how I had my gin after 1 order so was impressed and staff helpful to help me find the right rosé wine to my liking offering a sample of them to ensure I got what I wanted. Food was very tasty and a good selection of choices. Not too many but enough to choose. Sunday roast was delicious as well. Couldn't fault it. Spa, we used the pool sauna and steam room. All lovely experience and again friendly staff. Nice touch the robes included in roo , my only recommendation would be to provide bigger ones so that someone of a slightly bigger build is comfortable in the robes. Sadly we are nkt all a size 10-16 Overall, a lovely stay, hotel is peacefull and calming which is perfect when you are busy all the time and want some down time. Thank you for our stay. Noteworthy details: Can walk into sandsend either the driveway in or via a path through the grounds, this route requires walking shoes and not suitable for white trainers or flip flops."
