"I was part of a large group of 18, which had dinner at the Rising Sun. My prawn bruschetta starter, and chicken main course, were delicious! Energetic friendly waitress did really well, as it's difficult handling a large group, getting everyone the right food. Cotes du Rhone red wine was superb, waitress told me the landlord had brought it back from France in his own car. Only disappointment was the banoffee pie, which was horrible more banana cake, so the 3 of us who had it complained got a no quibble refund on that item, which we appreciated. I would suggest this item is dropped from the menu and replaced with a proper banoffee pie. That's a minor detail though, my overall impression was very positive, and I *highly recommend* the Rising Sun, as a pleasant, well run pub/restaurant. I think it has some B B rooms too?"
