"First time visit here but will not be the last. The decor is mock something or other but still very good. A party of eight family for the evening service. We ate outside in the courtyard which was very nice with a small fountain in the corner. There was a choice of menus. All were for 2 persons or more. The mains on each was the same, Entrecote, Sirloin or Paella. The first and third courses did vary though. I can't praise the food highly enough it was all excellent from the simple bread with tomate/oli to the desserts. Only one slight issue. They did bring out the different courses a bit too speedily. They should definately allow some time between courses."

"On entering the restaurant, which at this point was empty, we were shown to the smallest table in the room. We asked for another table and we were shown the next smallest table in the room. Okay the rest may have been booked, however an hour and a half later there were still many empty tables better suited to our 6ft bodies and in the meantime other 'couples ' were 'allowed to sit on more suitable larger tables. We ordered the wine and asked for water. We had to ask a further two times for water as it had still not arrived during our meal. When eventually it did arrive it was warm. The wine was stone cold as if it had been in a freezer, not a wine cooler. We ordered a salad for two people to share and we were served one salad for one person. The salad was nothing like it was described on the menue, it was basically cheap potatoe salad with a few fish eggs on top. My husband ordered steak tartare and asked for it to be spicy...it wasn 't. He asked for a chipito of brandy, which seemed to cause confusion. A customer intervened and told us the waitress was not used to serving a chipito of brandy with steak tartare ???? What that has got to do with it beats me, it 's irrelevant. I ordered fish as I was ordering a particular type of fish, the waitress totally ignored me and rattled off to my husband all the types of fish they had. I again ordered my fish and again she ignored me and looked at my husband and repeated my order ??? Um do I exist ??? The people that were in the restaurant all seemed to know one another and it felt very clicky and uncomfortable. We were not asked once How was your meal The cost of this experience was around 62 euros, overpriced with really bad service and vibes. This was our first visit to this restaurant and our last. There are far to many other great restaurants with friendly service with people that know what they are doing. They have also lost out on any future business with our friends as we shall be telling everyone of them not to go there."

"We visited Elda/Petrer on Monday, when we searched where to eat was difficult, most bars/restaurants were closed to rest. the few that we saw open reserve of the month or do not convince us. a friend who accompanied us remembers this restaurant and we headed there. I was surprised to find him, joe in a square! with very good views. We asked if they had a table for four people and very kindly told us of course. We opted for men (pan, salad, first dish, second dish and dessert or caf for something more than 10 !!! you can also choose rice, in this case the men went to cost 2 ms per person! I thought it was very cheap for the food and the service they provided us. conclusine: good price, variety of dishes, good service, good location and good food. no doubt when we return to elda we will eat."

"I am Chairman of the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club in Spain. On July 14th 2013, the JEC Spain visited La Torreta, 20 classic cars. La Torreta did us proud. We totalled 40 people which took over a large part of the restaurant. Restaurant La Torreta went to exceptional efforts to make this event a success and I must thank Simona and register our appreciation for such a terrific day. The food was fabulous and for a price that was excellent value for money. We started with a plate of sliced fried cheese on a bed of thinly sliced tomato drizzled in olive oil, followed by deep fried Boquerón’s (small fishes), then Sepia a la plancha, the tenderest griddled squid you have ever tasted. A choice of main course was offered, slow cooked shoulder of lamb (the house speciality), entrecote steak, sea bass with cava sauce, grilled hake, or for a small supplement either a fillet (solomillo) steak (the best you will get anywhere) or a Chuleton Steak (T Bone) a huge piece of prime beef. A selection of deserts were then offered as well as good strong coffee. Wines consisted of El Cotto 2008 for the red, Olite for the rose and a very pleasing little Riesling for the white or for those who wanted it endless beer.. All this for 23 Euros which offered our members exceptional value for money. Some members have already said we must repeat this event again in the not too distant future. In the past we have only eaten at La Torreta as a couple or with a small group of friends. This event was a test for the restaurant, 40 people turning up at one time, all I can say is They Excelled Themselves so just to say, for just a nice lunch or dinner or that special event, for the money, La Torreta is hard to beat."

"an exquisite restaurant, with a very large market study behind everything you see in there so that something like a Chinese restaurant has that magic and color that has the dao. very friendly waitres and with very good treatment to the customer (boys code because the waiters are all Chinese xd, they only hire girls.) 10 meal, speed of brutal service, when you sit they serve you and at 10 minutes you already 4 affordable and complete menus. I recommend ordering the menu of 2 to 3 with separate drink or 3 for 4 depends the diners that are, since with that you fill already enough.It doesn't miss anything, the only thing I can say is that I miss the pianist that after the COVID-19 I didn't see him there anymore...I hope to go back 8 more years."

"We have been to this restaurant several times and taken family and friends. We did not notice until yesterday after being given an extortionate bill , that the VAT is not included in the price in the menu but is added on the bill at payment. So everything you see is far more expensive than you are led to believe. Also they seem to make up the price as they go along. They charged us 14. 50 for 4 small pieces of cheese and some Iberico ham. We told the waiter we only wanted a small portion for one person as a starter as I did not want a starter. When we challenged this after receiving the bill, we were told the cheese and ham were serperate on the menu, so they had no price for a small starter of cheese and ham together, so instead of charging us a reasonable price, they charged us 14,50 euros, which is a complete rip off. Considering we have taken so many people there and had been regular customers, you would have thought they would have had some respect for us. Eventually after arguing the point and not accepting this rip off, they charged us 8.50 which is what they should have charged in the first place. This was not the first time we challenged the bill in the past as quite a few times it was incorrect, BUT always in THEIR favour. Generally the food is typically Spanish and quite good, but certainly NOT value for money. A plate of grilled vegetables cost 12.50 euros for one person.. I was disgusted to be treated so badly after the amount of custom we had given them. We certainly won't be back ever again and neither will our friends or family. Their greed has lost them a lot of future business."

"Comida de calidad, espectacular todos los platos ,el pulpo se deshacía y estaba súper sabroso se notaba que era fresco y el calamar espectacular, luego pedimos unas chuletas de cordero riquísimas y un chuleton buenísimo además cada uno se lo hacía a su gusto en las brasas que nos pusieron al Centro. Calidad precio muy bien salimos a 40 euros con café, postre ,botella de vino y 4 refrescos . La atención, el trato y su cercanía de 10 . Me cantaron todos el cumpleaños feliz !! "Two months after my first visit I am back again with a close friend who I have waxed lyrical to about this restaurant and I'm terrified that it's not going to live up to expectations. Fortunately I have no need to worry as it is on top of its game again. We started with Mussels with lemon and black pepper, every single mussel looked perfect which is a tough act and they tasted great. Next came a superb fois gras on a bed of fried cheese and sweet onion chutney worth writing home about. Main courses were Monkfish with artichokes and Bacalao on a bed of Cherry tomatoes. Both dishes were examples of how wonderful even the simplest dishes can be if the ingredients are spot on. My friend had the flan a casera with slices of membrillo, I declined thinking of my ever expanding waistline and regretted it afterwards. Please go and try this place."
