"La Grotta, in my opinion is the best eatery in Eschwege, I must say I've eaten at a number of restaurants here and non are as good. I maybe a little bias as I'm not a lover of heavy creamy or meaty dishes! As always...La Grotta never fails to serve fresh food with wonderful specials which I've enjoyed, especially the fresh fish dishes during Johannesfest, which are light and tasty. Only a couple of weeks ago I had a wonderful sumptuous pumpkin soup, simply delicious! Complements to the Chef.... If like me you appreciate great wine (my preference is red) have a look at the bottles on the chest when you arrive.And Grappa...oooh I hear you say, well I used to say the same but now I know different.
