"I visited this pub for the first time today around 1:30 PM for lunch, and I must say, the Malt Shovel is a fantastic place. The service, food, and overall value are all outstanding. Given the rising prices we've seen over the past year, the prices here are quite reasonable. It's refreshing to find a pub that still offers good value without trying to take advantage of its patrons. The San Miguel beer was excellent, my ribs were delicious, and my girlfriend's steak was cooked perfectly. The staff were very accommodating with my two-year-old son, which I really appreciated. We will definitely be returning soon; the drive from Sidcup is absolutely worth it."
