"The Olympiastraße is one of the most important connecting roads between Partenkirchen and Garmisch since YEAREN! At the moment it is so bad that at the beginning of August residents can not even drive by car to their homes / apartments by car for two weeks. And before December the road will not end. It is therefore not surprising that the long-term flower shop has emerged and has moved into the Alpspitzstraße. In this respect, I hardly dared my eyes when I discovered yesterday that a sushi snack called Asakusa was opened right next to the now empty flower shop. So much optimism is amazing, at the same time two cafés were opened and reopened in a short time. It is not only the construction site itself, the excavators, construction vehicles and above all the noise and dust, not necessarily invite you to stay on the small terrace... when the snack is discovered by the tourists who fall like ants over my place. hard to find good luck! When I went out this morning, a couple outside the Sunday rest was possible. There's a little table with flyers on the door, so I took one. Sushi does not appear on my culinary card, but I like to try something new for my life. So the friendly aisate gave me a cup of tea while waiting for the number 65 Spicy Tuna Inside 8 pcs. The allergens and additives were correctly identified on the flyer. If Asian cuisine is so healthy, what does it need sulfur dioxide and glutamate in food? Don't think about it, otherwise I don't eat well; The small guest room is brand new, correspondingly clean, and the four / five tables have the necessary Corona distance from each other. modern and clean.... it is really a small place My order was done quickly, there was no proof, but you can pay quickly with the card. Greta would cheat with all the packaging wastes that are produced, but without going no gastro survives here and this imbrance does not survive twice. At home on my terrace I also had a more beautiful view than the stone desert of the Olympiastraße. The tuna itself was not sharp, the dop wasabi already ignored the ingwerknäuel. The soy sauce that belonged to it was too concentrated to me, because I prefer to take a sweet chilli sauce from my own stock. Satt was me, but the great passion was not evoked. Nevertheless, I wish the little snack all the best. Anyone who opens a place in this coronary period must have the spirit of a butcher dog. May many friends of the cold fish find there. Spicy Tuna Inside €8.50"

"I don't usually do reviews but the service that we received today, mainly me, was terrible. We decided to go to the Zugspitze today while we have stayed for a week in Germany. After waiting for a while, which is ok because it was crowded, we were seated and gave our order to Franzi. She was absolutely terrible. We ordered brats and pretzels, goulash, salad, beer, and water. Everything came except for the salad, which was mine. I happened to catch Franzi as she was clearing a table and asked her about the salad, thinking maybe it was forgotten because it was busy and things like that happen. She snapped at me, 'you're not the only person here, look around, you're not the only one I'm waiting on,' and walked off. I was absolutely humiliated because this was said very loudly and in front of the table next to us. She came back, dropped the salad off and stormed off again. Yes. She was busy. Yes, I realize that. But I also realize that I ordered a salad and not a complicated meal. She came by our table only when she HAD to and never to see if we may have needed anything. However, the German table next to us was waited on quite well and she often stopped by ensuring that they were taken care of well. What made me feel slightly better was how absolutely rude she was to the table of Americans that sat down across from us as we were finishing up. She was speaking with the couple next to those Americans and the American man spoke up and said, 'Hello,' in a conversational way, to which she responded, 'You wait your turn, it is not your turn.' While I understand that people have bad days or get flustered when they are busy, that is absolutely no way to treat customers. Period. The ONLY reason this has two stars is because Andrey was absolutely phenomenal and one of THE nicest people I have met since I have been here."

"This is a follow up to a review I post 2 years ago when we were hotel/spa guests. Read: “Peace, tranquility and a friendly staff.”Reviewed July 29, 2014 for a more thorough accounting of the Hotel/Spa.Due to business related work we were unable to stay at this wonderful hotel but knew we wanted to return to our favorite hotel in Garmisch, the Riessersee Hotel Sport & Spa. My husband and I hiked up to the Riessersee for a little exercise early in the afternoon while enjoying the views on a cold, sunny day. Once we got to the hotel we enjoyed wandering around the property to include the lake and paths. The Biergarten is closed for the winter and the lake is frozen solid but the pathway around the lake and grounds were all well groomed allowing us to walk without worrying about slippery ice. It is such a picturesque area and though the Biergarten was closed they had set up a little Christmas tree for ambiance. We enjoyed taking photos and walking for the next hour and then returned to the hotel for lunch which opened at noon. We entered and were immediately greeted by friendly staff. We had the place to ourselves and were shown to a lovely window seat with the sun shining in. Perfect! The menu had light fare as well as heartier plates. My husband chose the schnitzel with cranberry and fried potatoes with bacon/onions while I chose the pork medallions in a creamy mushroom sauce with herby spaetzle. Both came with a side salad. Drinks were a pilsner and white wine with a large sparkling water. The food was delicious! The schnitzel was lightly brown and crispy and the potatoes perfectly cooked. My medallions were tender, the sauce creamy and the herby spaetzle was really flavorful! Our side salads were real salads~not a garnish, that came in a bowl with a really nice oil and vinegar dressing. Everything tasted fresh and homemade! While we were eating another large group of maybe 15 came in and then a bit later another large group arrived. Each time they were greeted immediately and someone was serving them right away. Our service was never interrupted though these 2 large groups came in. I paid by cc and due to a problem with their computer I was escorted to the Reception area where it was taken care of quickly and pleasantly. My husband and I were so happy to be back at our favorite place in Garmisch and hope next year when we return we are able to stay a few nights~lunch was wonderful but it made me want to stay longer! :)"
