"Also war jahrelang in einem Döner in der Walltorstr. und nach der letzten Rundreise durch die Umleitungen googelte ich heute mal denn suchte einen Döner Laden der auch Hähnchen Döner hat und kam so auf den Döner Treff 24. Schliesse mich anderen Meinungen an, ist ein Döner der gut aber nichts aussergewöhnliches ist. Personal war sehr nett nur beim Salat im Döner vermisste ich Gurken, Tomaten und Rotkraut was andere bisher immer auch hatten. Erfreulich war die Fleisch Einlage denn die war voll ok und das störte mich in der Waltorstr. dass der Döner immer teurer wurde und das Fleisch unter weniger. Hatte hier beim Döner Treff 24 fast das doppelte an Fleisch, denke werde trotz fehlender Salat Sorten in Zukunft nur noch hier her gehen."

"top in my eyes the best gyros you get in pouring and environment. the meats are still produced here and are always fresh. the gyros is not too high-fat and is always prepared nicely crispy but not burned. you are always kindly served and the waiting time is always in order. "Super friendly and good advice. I am used to strongly seasoned food, ie my taste buds are not exactly exploded at eating the bowl, but still I had the feeling of doing something good to my body. The only criticism is that if Avocado is on it, I want to get some avocado. Unfortunately, only a mini piece had in it and a half cocktail tomato that made a good figure as decoration."

"I was always joking about being so surprised to see a Turkish restaurant in Giessen (as there are so many--maybe too many--how they stay open is a mystery). Having said that and never trying the cuisine before in Giessen, I dropped spontaneously in on Istanbul Restaurant and was happy with my experience.I ordered some sort of doner plate with moist pieces of the meat with two lovely roasted hot peppers. What I liked is it didn't come with bread and it was tasty. All under 10 Euro for lunch including drink.Though the waiter was polite and friendly, it took him a while to stop a personal conversation with a table to serve me in the very busy restaurant.If I get into the desire to have Turkish again, I wouldn't hesitate to return--very likely for lunch."

"Was it with the family today, it's just not like in normal restaurants, more like with friends. The service is so perfect that you don't know what to say, the whole flair, a super tasty pizza, has tried at least one piece today, unfortunately the pasta dishes are so delicious that I haven't made my own pizza yet. If the store was not so far away, we would certainly be permanent customers, so we can only say we are looking forward to our next visit to Gießen, to the next delicious food with you."

"Mega-Tandur ist die rettende Insel vieler Gießener Studenten auf dem Weg von den Feiern nach Hause.Hier bekommt man fast rund um die Uhr bestes essen aus dem Steinofen geboten.Da das Brot für die Döner frisch gebacken wird ist es sehr lecker und kross.Das Fleisch ist meiner Meinung nach das beste in Gießen.Ich vermute es ist Kalbfleisch und nicht dieses dunkle Hackfleisch was viele andere Gießener Döner anbieten.Hier gibt es auch kein "Schubladenfleisch".Mittags wir nachts ist der Tandur ziemlich voll.Sehr zu empfehlen sind hier die Suppen, das Pide, die Pizza und natürlich der Döner / Lamacun!Aufpassen sollte man mit dem scharfen Gewürz auf den Tischen,Hier ist es wirklich scharf, aber die Erfahrung muss jeder min. Einmal machen. :)Wenn man in der Nähe ist und Hunger hat, dann auf zum Tandur!"

"Ich war kurz vor 14 Uhr imOsakaSushi ,erst überlegt ich evt.das All u can auszuprobieren,aber ich beoachtet erst mal die Teller auf dem Band -keine Makis-Einzelnes Ebi Nigri-2Insideouts auf einem anderen und dazwischen jede Menge Tempura,Frühlingsrollen und Sesambällchen,aufgrund der geringen Auswahl an Fischhaltigen Sushi,( allerdings räume ich ein,dass nicht weiß wie das Band ab Beginn des Mittagsangebots aussah) nachgelegt wurde eigentlich nur noch Tempura und Co.Ich bestelle von der Karte,grünen Tee und Misosuppe ,auf beides musste ich schon etwas warten,die Misosuppe war heiß und frisch und schmeckte richtig gut.Auch das Lachsmaki und die Spicy Salmon(Nr.62,sehr empfehlenswert),bei meiner Bestellung wollte ich auch Ikura Nigri und Jakobsmuscheln -Nigri ,die Bedienung kurz nach der Bestellung teilt mit,dass sie kein Lachskaviar haben.Als meine Bestellung einige Zeit später muss ich feststellen ,dass mir ohne mich darüber in Kenntnis zu setzen statt derJakobsmuscheln Nigris (Nr26) einfach Nr.25 dazugelegt hatte,ich weis die Servicekraft darauf hin, die mir wieder sagte das Jakobsmuscheln aus.Ich war recht enttäuscht dass sie mir dies nicht früher mitgeteilt hatte. Das Sushi war aber lecker und frisch Das Restaurant ist sauber. Fazit :leckeres frisches Sushi von der Karte,All u can eat ab früheren Nachmittag mit wenig Fischhaltigen Sushi ,wenig Vielfalt auf dem Band,freundlicher Service,Gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis( bezogen auf das leckere Sushi von der Karte)Empfehlenswert!"

"Ich habe dieses Restaurant bisher nur als Lieferservice genutzt. Da ich mich regelmäßig mit einer Gruppe von Freunden treffe, haben wir an den entsprechenden Abenden bereits einige Lieferservices durchprobiert. Beim 'Vulkan' sind wir wohl endgültig hängengeblieben.Die Pizza ist top, dünner Boden, knusprig auf den Punkt, reichlich und lecker belegt. Aber noch viel besser sind die Burger! Wir haben einige Varianten getestet aber im Moment liegt der 'BamBamBigelow' (Barbecue Soße & Bacon) knapp vor dem 'Burger Meister' (Käse & Spiegelei). Fritten sind in Ordnung für einen Lieferservice, aber da kann man auf Grund des Transports auch nicht mehr erwarten. Die als 'kleine Speise' ausgewiesenen '3 Tacos' machen auch einen erwachsenen Mann satt und kommen mit reichlich leckerem Salat.Bestellung und Lieferung klappen top, man merkt das hier ein junges, aufmerksames Team am Werk ist! Ab 25€ Bestellwert gibt es eine Flasche Wein oder Softdrink zur Bestellung gratis!"

"cleanliness, friendliness and the room / equipment to be very satisfied! the breakfast selection is so, but maybe wg corona?! Nevertheless, the sausage/cheese plate could be more lovingly dressed and could not be over all camembert (I can't eat it and thus not the entire rest through the arrangement). can't you ask for a short time what you want and don't eat? I would have taken the rest only 2 dinge if necessary! a sweet and O juice would be nice, but the coffee was also good the rolls and the fresh obstsalat unbeatable! it would also be possible if the room was already paid online and they stayed several days to prepare the bill so it can be taken on the departure day and not by post at any place will save porto! otherwise, if I return in the opposite, I would like to book again and would like to pass these tips personally, but on tomorrow the service and the difference was not as perfect as the arrival!"

"Das Restaurant hat eine frische, moderne Aufmachung, die Servicekräfte hinter der Theke waren sehr freundlich.Wir begannen mit POH PIA (Veg. Frühlingsrollen ) und ChickenWings in Chillie Marinade. Die Soßen waren recht lecker. Es folgten 2 x THOM Khai Gai (Gemüsesuppe mit Hühnerfilet, Kokosmilch, Zitronengras,Champignons, Kaffirblättern und Koriander)Die Suppe war einfach geschmacksneutral!Ich weiß garnicht wie sowas machbar ist.Wir essen gerne Thai und waren kurz vorher bei einem Mitbewerber in der Frankfurter Straße von dieser Suppe wieder mal total begeistert.Der Service hat auch nett nachgefragt und uns eine andere Suppe angeboten, wir haben dankend verzichtet.Als Hauptgericht gab es GAENG DAENG GAI ( Knusprige Ente mit rotem Thai Curry)das Gericht war vom Aroma eher unterer Durchschnitt.Die Portionen waren reichlich, optisch ansprechend, aber die köstlichen Aromen der Thaiküche durften wir hier nicht erleben.Sicherlich nicht abzuraten für einen Snack in der Mittagspause, wer aber den Duft und das Aroma der Thaiküche liebt hat in Gießen noch andere Möglichkeiten.Feilt nochmal an euren Gerichten, dann kommen wir gerne wieder.Der Laden kam so rüber, als ob euch eure Kunden am Herzen liegen ."

"Holte mir das täglich wechselnde Mittagsangebot. War selbst für mich als nicht Veganer/Vegetarier echt lecker und für 6,50€ definitiv Preiswert. Konnte mir am Buffet eine Riesenportion daufschaufeln. Vor allem die Saucen waren lecker. Als ich am Abend dann nochmal mit meinem Freund im Rollstuhl "vorbei fuhr", bekam ich Heißhunger auf Joghurt mit Erdbeeren. Ich ging rein und wollte beide Zutaten kaufen, da meinte der junge Mann der dort arbeitete, wenn ich wollte könnte ich mir selbst etwas in der Laden-Küche kredenzen. Er stellte mir Biovanille, Agavendicksaft und hauseigenes Granola zur Verfügung, die er mir nicht berechnete. Mit meinem Freund im Gepäck stand ich, obwohl der Laden eigentlich schon längst hätte schließen sollen, nun in der Küche und konnte mein eigenes Essen zubereiten. Werde definitiv wieder kommen, hat echt Spaß gemacht!"

"The food is great and we are often and happy to be there, but after that we have always annoyed when we pay. Yesterday they forgot everything we ordered, but that would not have prevented me from going there next time. However, they are really undamaged at the cashier and always count too much without bill. 10 Euro surcharge is not rare and even without invoice this goes directly into the black bank. They also want to calculate a child under 3 years old. You don't earn money. if each pair leaves at least 50€ and the load is always full. That was the last time for us."

"We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel concierge and informed that it was one of the oldest buildings in Gießen.The restaurant is located deep within the pedestrianised shopping centre and was in easy walking distance to our hotel on Westanlage.We ordered a range of starters; the tomato with the mozzarella was sweet and flavoursome and the bruschetta was also very good. I ordered a large steak with pepper sauce and the knife glided through the meat. I would have preferred the pepper sauce to be on the side and not poured over the steak but this is a minor point. Everyone else around the table appeared to enjoy their main courses too with dishes ranging from calf liver, calamari and pizza.Desserts were standard fare, i.e. ice cream, cheese board etc and they even had English language menus for those of us that spoke no German or Italian."

"Wir gehen öfter in den Asien Palast essen und nehmen meistens das Buffet. Die Auswahl ist riesig und es findet sicher jeder etwas für seinen Geschmack. Wir sind eigentlich noch nie enttäuscht worden. Sollte einmal eine Sache nicht perfekt sein, wurde sofort vom Chef darauf reagiert und man bekam etwas extra zur Entschuldigung. Es ist sehr sauber und man sitzt nie lange vor den leeren Tellern. Das Personal ist durchweg schnell und zuvorkommend, räumt ruckzuck ab und man bekommt auch seine Getränke immer sehr schnell. Den Charakter einer Bahnhofshalle hat das Restaurant trotz seiner Größe nicht. Man hat sich viel Mühe gegeben unterteilte Räume zu schaffen. Viele unserer Freunde sind durch uns zum Asien Palast gekommen und sind ebenfalls sehr zufrieden. Wir gehen immer wieder gern dort essen"

"Very nice ambience with great attention to detail. This is reflected in the dishes: finely decorated, delicious and fresh. We were there several times and always found it fantastic. The selection and know-how of the bartender at Gins are also not to be overlooked. Through the constant presence of the owner and his wife, one feels that the restaurant is a warm opportunity. The service is friendly, loving and sympathetic. The food was rounded off with a very good and large selection of wines. We're overwhelmed!"

"We were here for a large ceremony, which was meant to include a sparkling wine reception, a three-course meal and dancing. The hotel is more attractive than other similar locations in Giessen. However, they seemed to be very understaffed and poorly organised.The staff didn't know about the wines on the menu (only 6 for this event to choose from) and didn't seem to know who to ask and had the excuse that they were new there, that might be the case but the wines we ended up having had an description of the back of them so she would have only had to look and tell us what they said, and at a restaurant of this level you expect at least one of the staff on hand to know about what they serve. Drinks took quite a long time to come and sometimes the wrong things were brought and for the sparkling wine there were not enough glasses so they had to use regular wine glasses for some people. When the soup was brought out, it took a really long time because there was not enough staff and they stopped bringing the drinks in this time because they could not manage both at the same time, which meant some of us didn't have anything to drink when the soup came and it took several minutes to get drinks after it. The amount of time this took would be understandable if they were serving different soups, but everyone was getting the same thing so there was no need to be careful who got what. The main course and dessert were served on a buffet, which was probably fortunate given how slow they were with the soup. However, they ran out of plates a few times, which needed to be brought to their attention and they also forgot the knifes for the cheese plate. The food was, in spite of all of others issues, excellent. The roast beef and the chicken were especially good. The service level was quite a shame given how good the food was, the place as a very high potential but the lack of service brings it down."

"Ich war nun 2x da, um das Veggie-Angebot zu testen. In der zweiten Woche nach Eröffnung gab nur den Vegan-Burger. Zu der Zeit fand ich das Angebot ein wenig enttäuschend. Dieser hat eine gebratene Aubergine als Patty. An sich hat er jedoch ganz passabel geschmeckt auch wenn der Burger auseinander gefallen ist - jedoch war meine Erwartung viel höher und ich war leider auch eine andere Burgerqualität gewöhnt von einem etwas länger ansässigem Burger-Laden in Gießen, das wohl jeder in der Stadt kennt... :-) Als Beilage wählte ich Chili Cheese Pommes. Die schmeckten gut.Einige Wochen später hat sich das vegetarische Angebot erfreulicherweise erweitert. Es gibt nun auch einen Veggie-Burger mit Gemüsebratling und Halloumi darüber. Daumen hoch für das erweiterte Angebot. Leider war auch jener Burger nicht überzeugend. Der Bratling zerfiel und so langsam passierte dies auch mit dem Burgerbrötchen. Da machten die letzten Bissen nicht mehr so viel Spaß. Als Besteck-ablehnender-Burgeresser (^^) war das leider ein recht hektisches Ende.Zum Lokal an sich. Es ist einladend aufgebaut, sauber, die Küche war sehr flott und der Service ist supernett. Wer also keine großen Ansprüche an (vegetarische) Burger hat. Der kann es gerne einmal probieren. Empfehlen würde ich es jedoch nur bedingt aufgrund der mäßigen Geschmacksqualität."

"Ali's is a short walk from the Giessen train station (bahnhof), and is well worth a visit. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive; the menu is all fish/seafood, and most all the items are grilled and served with a salad and delicious pommes frites (small, round, lightly fried potatoes). My wife ordered the salmon and thought it one of the better-prepared salmon steaks she'd ever had. I order Dorade (whatever that is); it came with skin, head, and bones---but was very delicious. Dinner for two was about 25 Euros and well worth it. If you know Giessen bus lines, this place is just a block from the 802 stop. Give it a try---you won't regret it."

"Prior to this we had an unpleasant experience at Bar Celona up the road, so entered Justus as it always looked pleasant from the outside.It has a nice warm, old school restaurant-pub style atmosphere and was busy. The staff immediately responded and said a comfortable table would be available shortly. We sat at the bar and since that was comfortable enough, stayed there.The German home cooked food was simply delicious--that was a nice surprise. I had a herring dish and my wife dumplings and we both enjoyed it very much. The portions were a decent size and I tried a Bavarian beer that I've not seen before. Also tried the homemade herbal liquor and that had to be tested a second round;) Very nice, I recommend that.Well done Justus, we will return with friends and family. Keep up with the friendly staff as this is always nice to experience."
