"The service was a bit slow at first when it came to taking our order, which affected the overall experience. They mentioned they needed the table back by 8:30, and because it took so long to place our order, we felt rushed towards the end of the meal. However, the food was fantastic—everything tasted fresh and was beautifully presented. I had the Amaretto cake, which was absolutely delicious; I’ve never tasted anything like it before!"

"4 of us enjoyed a lunchtime meal. The welcome was warm and friendly and the service was really good. the substantial menu was really not ideal for our party, (we are old and traditional! but we chose wisely and really enjoyed what we were served. "Ayubowan! We visited this restaurant last Friday and were pleasantly surprised to find an authentic Sri Lankan restaurant in Glossop! As someone who is part Sri Lankan and has tried many dishes in Sri Lanka, I highly recommend this restaurant. We enjoyed appetizers, main dishes, cocktails, and desserts for a reasonable price. The decor and ambiance are lovely and truly reminiscent of Sri Lanka. The service was good and the food was delicious. We are excited to come back here in the future! "Called in when driving passed. Clean pub, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Ordered 3 Beef dinners, they arrived quickly but unfortunately didn’t taste good. The veg was cold and the carrots were watery, the beef was fatty and the roast potatoes were rock hard! It tasted like it had been reheated in a microwave and therefore we couldn’t eat the majority of the meal. I wouldn’t recommend the beef dinner. Price per person: £10–20"

"This was our first time trying Sunday dinner from Victoria Lounge, and it definitely won't be our last! The food was incredibly delicious, delivered hot, and at a reasonable price. They also had excellent vegetarian options available. Thank you for a wonderful Sunday meal! I highly recommend it."

"I came here with some friends. We booked a table for 8:30 on a Sunday and when we arrived they promptly told us that they closed at 9:30 and we needed to be done by then. Why didn't they tell us this when we booked it? The staff then proceeded to hover over us whilst we ate making us feel rushed. What a shame, I wont be going back. The only saving grace was the food was nice shame we didn't have time to actually enjoy it. Also, very limited vegetarian options and the menu was pretty usual Indian takeaway/restaurant food. No point in doing good food if your service sucks."

"Such a lovely place to stop for lunch, we popped in passing through and I am so glad we did. The staff were so lovely and accommodating, we weren't that hungry so split a soup and sandwich and they plated it up separately for us. the food was amazing proper home cooking with great quality ingredients, a simple tomato and basil soup and cheese and ham sandwich was delightful. "Hi , I’m not from this area at all and I recently was called into to help with work at boots next door, I got a bit hungry and seen this place I was a little bit skeptical because I am a picky eater (hence why I only got a portion of fries). Just wanted to say how friendly staff were, so welcoming and really nice to all customers. Well done for that. My chips were ready the second I made the order and tasted fresh and hot just how I like it. Judging by the menu they do offer some really good portions but I would prefer a plain chips haha. Reasonably priced and nice seating inside. Will be coming back to this place if I get called into work again. Thanks guys for lovely service Kid-friendliness: Welcoming staff"
