"We booked our rooms five months in advance, but found ourselves assigned to different floors. We were told the bar would be closing at 11 p.m., but when my son went there at 10:45, he was informed that the till had already been taken away. As a fellow landlord, he insisted that it should be returned so he could buy his drink. Room service is supposedly available until 2 a.m. (with a £25 fee per room charged at check-in), but we were discouraged from using it. The highlight of our stay was the king-size bed and the breakfast selection, which included fruit, cereal, croissants, toast, a full English breakfast, tea/coffee, and juice. However, the bathroom really needed a thorough cleaning; it seemed like the chambermaids didn’t have enough time to do a proper job. The floor was also lifting and coming apart at the seams, and there were issues with the lighting."
