"highly recommended for a stay in this wonderful hotel. stranded in salisbury because of snow and must find a hotel with a walk away from the railway station (no taxis run.) 15 minutes to walk and I was in this hotel. pauline at the reception was incredibly friendly and helpful, despite the fact that I arrived after 9.30 a.m., I was quickly booked and my double room was spacious, warm and well equipped with lots of tea making, cookies, tw and care products for the suite. they have always thought of their guests, as there were many cans before or near mirrors and seats/tables. wifi was good and the TV had a good selection of free channels. they even gave earplugs only when the water mill wheel was too loud, but I didn't need them. the bed was super comfortable with a selection of hard or soft kisses. I had a beautiful view over the lake part of the stream and fields. the shower was absolutely beautiful and loved the heated towel rack. the breakfast was amazing. I chose the full English and it was superb with beautiful crispy speck, a building style sausage, black pudding, drilling, tomaten, mushrooms, ei, hash brews and toast. there was also a self-service for chalk, fruit and juice. that was a beautiful end of a terrible day and I am so glad that I found this hidden little jewel."
