"Had lunch here a few times and it’s always delicious. Much more of a local vibe than the tourist centric larger places on the beach front and the food is much better! Steve and his team recently accommodated my fathers wake. Nothing was too much trouble, buffet was great, room upstairs was perfect for a small gathering and had gorgeous views, although the sun shone and we spent our time out on the quay, a beautiful setting. It was perfect, we were so well looked after. Couldn’t have wished for more or recommend any better."

"Have always enjoyed everything about this place over the years, and coming back this time was no different We’d enjoyed a Memorial and Celebration for my Mum the day before, with lunch at The Boathouse, and had a lovely meal (20 people), with a relaxed atmosphere and friendly service This visit was a sunny day, and we were meeting family for a dog walk after lunch, so Instow seemed the perfect choice. Sarah was in again, and greeted us warmly, asking how the Memorial had been We were seated quickly, ordered drinks promptly, as well as a shared Starter and a couple of sausages for our dog The food was incredible, as I’ve always found it to be. We shared a Dessert also A welcoming, warm, comfortable establishment, with great views, fresh, well crafted menu items, good quality drinks, and friendly service 2 adults (and a dog) Thursday lunchtime no reservation beginning March 2023"

"Great place for a snack, it does get busy especially when it’s a nice day as it’s outside eating near the beach. The car park is free next to the cafe but there is only about 4 spaces. The public car park is a bit expensive and the pot holes are terrible (you need to be driving a tank to get through them!!! . You need to try this place if you are in the area but be prepared the cost of drinks and food it quite expensive for a beach shack cafe, but the food is good although I think the menu is a bit limited and some of the food severed is seasonal. They do source local and good quality produce especially when you see the chef coming out to cut herbs from the pots around the shack. Overall a nice place to eat and have a drink or even just an ice cream. Dietary restrictions: They can do some gluten free options, just ask when ordering."
