"We were eating 13 people including children from 10 years on August 08. We were traveling, 1 week, from Seville. The attention was magnificent, the place has its charm, especially at the table outside that they placed for us, and the food, simply spectacular. Imaginative, elaborate menu, and absolutely top dishes. Simply amazing. The gyozas (to say some of the dishes we eat) are the best I've had in my life (and I've been to hundreds of Japanese). "Fuimos al Teide y al bajar por la Ororava lo vimos, llamamos y muy amablemente nos reservaron mesa para dos, nos dijeron que era hora punta pero que nos harían un hueco. Aparcamos en su parking. Muy amables las camareras y la dueña Comimos queso asado con diferentes salsas, croquetas estaban regular, no las recomiendo) y un chuletón de vaca canaria para compartir. El chuletón lo traen muy poco hecho y te ponen una cocinita para que lo termines de hacer La decoración muy vintage pero quizás en exceso Pareció un poco caro"

"We came for food and it was absolutely delicious, the service was impeccable! We was hoping to have a paella but they didn’t have any mussels, but instead of being left disappointed they made us up a paella special, by Jarnier, and it was the best we have had (I went with my boyfriend who’s family is from Tenerife so they know there stuff! . Santiago looked after us and was extremely attentive and friendly 5 stars! Venimos a comer paella y mariscos, pero no tenían mariscos. Con lo que tenían disponible (pulpo, pescado y langostinos , nos prepararon una paella especial que fue increíble, que fue preparada por Jarnier. Fui con mi novio y su familia que es de Tenerife (La Orotava . Estamos acordados que es la mejor paella que hemos comido en muchos años. Santiago fue muy atento y amable. ¡Nos lo pasamos pipa!"

"We wanted to walk through the banana plantations between Puertos commercial centre and the ‘village’ of La Luz, but the farmers are obsessed with gates so, we drove and parked on the old top road. Having a home here for the last 15 years I’m amazed we hadn’t found this restaurant and feel I have let us down. It’s a gem. Spotless and friendly, the food is a delight; nothing complex but, everything well cooked and assembled. Service is first class. I hate writing these things because it can attract others to the restaurant and before long it becomes a crowded mess. But, it was very nice!"

"This afternoon my partner and I ate in El Paso del Teide based on recommendations from friends. As soon as we arrived we saw that it was a very beautiful place. They gave us a table on the terrace and when we sat down we realized that something was wrong. There were two guys serving and they didn't come to serve us when there weren't many tables with people, it was like they didn't understand each other. It took them a long time to serve us and for the food to come out, on top of that the older man sent the other boy to do everything, he was rather with his arms crossed and people waiting to serve or have the table cleaned. Very unprofessional on your part. The food was good but the service was terrible. I prefer to eat worse and be served better. "We went to this restaurant with a groupon offer and we were not disappointed. an enclave with spectacular views and a glazed attention. among the appetizers we tasted would highlight the croquettes for their taste and delicacy in their elaboration. As for the incoming we decanted by the peppers filled with cod, and the salsa that bathed them was magnified with a touch of grassy that provided an extra flavor. from main dish we chose cherne on the plate accompanied by a salad garnish and potatoes with cilantro mojo, and from dessert homemade coffee cake. I exquisite everything as a whole. certainly highly recommended."

"all very good, from the wrinkles and the wet potatoes, from the best we have tasted. the salad and the stallion were extraordinary, and the super fresh fish and very well cooked. desserts, cheese and very rich chocolate cream. We were recommended as wine a white healthy vineyard, very good too, fruity, but with a strong matiz to late harvest. for putting a but, the coffee is very improved. I don't want to take the comment, but with such good food, they should take care of the coffee a little more. Finally, to say that the waiter's deal was extraordinary, and advised us very well with both food and wine."

"Guachinches are definitely worth seeking out, this one is based around an outside parillada, with inside and outside tables. Meat on the parillada is the main attraction here but there are lots of other choices on the menu too; stuffed mushrooms, watercress stew, tomato salad. We chose tuna croquettes and spinach parcels which were great followed by pescado encebollado (a traditional salted cherne fish dish) for me and a pork chop for my partner. Guachinches have menus with no prices on, so it is hard to judge how big portions will be, portions here are huge, the pork chop was massive and so was my fish dish. We also had wine and water and our dishes came with potatoes and chips. Chap running this place was a bit grumpy at first, not letting us sit at the only available outside table because it was for 4 people not just two, making us sit inside to eat. He changed his mind though about 5 mins later and let us have the table! Food is very good here, especially if you love grilled meat, only thing we didn’t like were the tiny cages with birds in them, especially positioned near the parillada with all the smoke coming off it. No bill here either we were just told it was €30 which for everything we had and the size of the portions was amazing value."

"Es la segunda vez que voy a este lugar y es sin duda un sitio excelente, puedes pedirte muchas cosas y probar la carta estilo tapas, a muy buen precio y con muy buen sabor, la atención es excelente y es sin duda una parada obligada si vas al CC El Trompo o sus cercanías. Entrecot, ensalada de papas, salchichas, pastel de carne, Curry, es sin lugar a dudas toda una experiencia. La atención también es muy buena, todo muy limpio, también cumplen todas las normas contra el covid19, así que puedes ir con tranquilidad. Les dejo algunas fotos, seguro que repetiremos."

"Wanting to get away from the far too touristy Playa de las Americas we we ended up going to La Orotava. Quite close to the historic city center we accidentally bumped into this relatively small restaurant and were afterwards more than delighted of the encounter. The food was absolutely delicious and I liked the fact that they gave the traditional canary dishes a somewhat modern touch. They have a fixed menu but they also offer the specialities of the day. There is also a menu in English but we kinda trusted the lady there and took her recommendations. For starters we had the tortilla and the melted cheese with honey and the we tried one of the specialities of the day-tuna bathed in a paprika/olive sauce served with crispy batatas. Really good although the omelette and the cheese somewhat sweet for our taste. Good sized portions and a really good price especially when comparing to the quality. Really attentive service as well. For those of you traveling with a child they also offer babyseats. We will definitely come again."

"a highly recommended fire. Excellent quality/price, to what is added something that I value very much: the treatment of the staff that are very friendly. Recommendations: the “pollanka” salad (receive the name for the fried chicken that accompanies the fresh vegetables, potato base, avocado cream, cheese and nuts), the turronite (small sweet potatoes and cod with mojos and almonds) and the meats to the pan. fruity wine is very good."

"The Monteverde house is a building with a late renaissance façade that was built in the late 17th century. It has always belonged to the Monteverdes, a family of Italian merchants who settled in the 17th century in La Orotava and in other points of the islands such as Las Palmas and La Laguna. They never lost their connection to Italy, and from there they imported the tradition of flower carpets in the mid-19th century. Three women of the Monteverde family designed geometric shapes with wine barrel rings that they filled with flower petals to honour the passage of the Corpus Christi procession. The original design of this first flower carpet is the one that appears in the glass window in front of this house, and in the Homage to the Flower Carpet Maker sculpture. Today, the entire Corpus Christi procession is covered with flower carpets made by the people of La Orotava. Right next to where you are, you can see Lercaro house on the same pavement. This late 17th-century manor house was originally linked to the Ponte family, descendants of a Genoese banker who invested in the conquest. Since the land distribution, his heirs have held the noble title of Marquises of Quinta Roja. This building was originally a private house. Due to its large size, its original use was subsequently combined with a warehouse and even a tobacco drying house. A standout feature is the carpentry work, especially on the four balconies. Look at the sgraffito designs that frame the doors and windows. Sgraffito is a decoration technique that creates a sense of volume, using two successive layers to reveal patterns by scratching through the surface layer. This property includes a disused mill, the last of a line of them up the street, along the water channel that flowed here. From this point, the water was used to irrigate the farming plots. At the end of the 19th century, a tannery that supplied La Orotava's shoe and hat makers operated in the back of this house."

"We came from holiday to port of the cross , the first day we arrived for the time to eat and before going up to the apartment we got the attention the site we entered with the idea of eating something fast and for our surprise was all riquísimo , pizza masses and homemade pasta as god manda , the deal was exquisite and super friendly , the girl who always attended us with a smile on the face that advised to visit the place was very nice At the end of the last day we canceled eating out there to return to this place that we loved if I ever went back to haveife would definitely come back. The pizzas and the chicken strips were scandalous."
