"We had a very disappointing meal, the fillet steak was a joke. I requested it to be cooked “blue” and it arrived medium. It arrived as 2 pieces from the the cheapest end of the fillet. I sent it back and when the second steak arrived it was medium rare and again in 2 pieces. We also had a problem with the Valpolicella which was advertised as 2018 and when it arrived it was 2021. The wine itself was fine but they still charged us CH70. Avoid this restaurant!"

"Can only comment on two dishes which we tried. The beef carpaccio which was freshly out of the fridge so the base of the dish roquette was very cold (borderline frozen) we had to leave it for 20 minutes before eating so I would suggest the kitchen takes this off their menu if it cannot be prepared a la minute. Second dish was pasta ; it had been left out post cooking a bit too long so stuck together. Not bad in terms of taste, but consistency could have been better. The classics such as cheese fondue looked good however so would suggest you stick to the basics and avoid going off piste at Le Chalet."

"The standard of food was as usual very good.... the hot buffet with chasse was excellent. Cooked while you wait so perfectly hot and fresh and cooked the way requested to perfection. The gentleman at the reception was also taking payments so we had to hang about until he had cashed up 6 folk in front of us.... a bit surprised two jobs done by one guy but these are strange COVID times. The service was pretty good, but it’s a buffet......... just drinks being served , but all good. The organisation and social distancing measures were very good."
